We are in Year of the Fire Horse 2026
We are entering Summer Solstice
We are moving into Fire Element (Summer) Heart, SI, TW and CX

Add to the mix any summer heat hot temperatures, dryness and intense emotions, say from watching England play in the world cup, you have the perfect combination for TCM TOXIC FIRE.

Hatha Yoga poses help lower cortisol by shifting the body from a stressed state to a more relaxed state, which removes the hormonal barriers that cause your body to store stubborn fat in those unwanted places.

When your body produces too much cortisol (the primary stress hormone), it actively prevents weight loss by slowing your metabolism and increasing visceral fat storage.

Hatha Yoga breaks this cycle.

WEIGHT LOSS : MUSCLES.

🔑Why do we need muscle mass to burn calories to lose weight?
Did you know -- Muscles are your body's primary tool for long-term weight loss because they burn calories even when you are resting.

The most effective 'big' muscles that burn the most calories for weight loss are the Quadriceps and Gluteus Medius. No wonder the quadriceps are known as the 'Longevity' muscle. The more strong, robust your quads are, the more we use them the healthy we are.

Yeah... yeah... yeah but what if I absolutely hate exercise, but still want to lose weight.

Not everyone loves exercise, not everyone is able to exercise due to injury and illness. But movement is different from exercise. Even sitting down!

"Movement is the Medicine of the Future".

In Kinesiology we use Muscle Monitoring. A Kinesiology skill much under utilised. Muscle strength is fundamentally a neurological skill, meaning you can make muscles significantly stronger without traditional exercise by optimising the nervous systems connection to the muscle.

Techniques like Corticol Smudging - Tapping or use Ice.
Techniques like Pre-Fire - Soften Relax/Tense/Relax.
Techniques like Max-Frequency Squeeze - Squeeze target muscle.
Techniques like Muscle Response Testing - switch ON/OFF.
Techniques like Muscle spindle 'muscle belly pinching' ON/OFF.
Techniques like NL Reflex Point Massage increase tone.
