A question I’m often asked is whether laser works on lighter or red hair.

Laser targets pigment in the hair, so darker hairs respond best, but many clients who appear to have lighter or “red” hair actually have a mix of hair types. This means I can still achieve really good reduction, as you can see here

This client has a dense back hair and wanted a long term solution without the constant upkeep of shaving or waxing. In just 4 sessions using advanced diode laser technology, there’s a significant reduction in both the thickness and density of the hair, leaving softer, finer regrowth and much less overall coverage.

Results like this are achieved through consistent treatments spaced around 6 weeks apart, targeting the hair during its active growth phase for the most effective reduction.

After just 2 laser hair removal treatments ✨

These before and after images show a clear reduction in visible dark hairs within the follicles. What you are seeing is a successful response to laser energy targeting melanin in the hair shaft. The laser heats the follicle, disrupting the hair growth cycle and weakening regrowth over time.

After only two sessions, many follicles are already producing finer, lighter hairs or no visible hair at all. The darker shadow seen before treatment is reduced because fewer hairs are anchored in the skin and active growth has slowed. Skin texture often appears smoother at this stage, with less coarse regrowth and less visible stubble.
