Callus, callus, callus!
We see these everyday at Carter's Foot Care and honestly its one of my favourite problems to solve for my clients. If you come to see a foot health practitioner like myself you can guarantee that your going to get a safe treatment.
How so?
We do not soak your feet. So we can see and feel exactly whats going on.
That way we can work out why you have the callus in the first place.
The callus is removed in the gentlest way possible so as not to cause further damage.
We do not use "cheese grater" style foot files as these are far too harsh and make callus form back quicker.
What do you use then?
Podiatry approved callus softners
Gentle double sided plantar files
Blades only when needed and with caution
Sterile tools, always
An apropriate moisturiser that suits the needs of your feet.
One size does not fit all so you get a tailored treatment to meet your needs.

Before and After the first treatment!
💚What did we do?
✍️We created a client record and asked questions about the clients medical history that is relevant to the foot problem.
✍️We assessed the feet, to find out what the issues might be.
✍️We came up with a treatment plan and photographed the feet.
Then....
🦶I cut the toe nails and reduced the nails down with my tools so the treatment would soak into the nail better.
🦶The client was suffering with callus allover her feet so we used a callus softner and special file to gently remove it.
🦶Then we did a sensation test to ensure the client has good feeling in her feet. This is standard at Carter's Foot Care.
🦶Next we chose a moisturizer that would work perfectly for her skin.
If you come to Carter's Foot Care clinic with a problem like fungal nails I will ask your permission to photograph your feet for our records.
That way you can see the progress made through out the the treatment journey and check that the product reccommended is the right choice for your problem.
If you suffer with fungal nails and or callus don't be embarrassed. Its a journey, but its treatable💚
