I think one of the hardest things about burnout is that most of us don’t realise it’s happening until we’re already deep in it.

For me, the signs were things like:

* feeling overwhelmed by tiny tasks
* getting snappy and irritated
* constantly needing “treats” or dopamine hits
* not being able to properly relax
* feeling tired but also unable to switch off

And because you’re still functioning, you just tell yourself you’re “busy” or “a bit stressed”.

So I’m curious…

What’s your first sign you’re heading towards burnout? 👀

And thank you to , , , and for sharing your experiences and insights too 💛

I don't share my story because I want sympathy or “look at me”.

I share my story so you know you're not the only one when you think it’s just you suffering.

The times when you feel like you are losing the plot and going crazy.

The times when you question, “is this my life now?”

The moments when you shrink your world just to feel safe.

Cancelling plans.
Avoiding places.
Needing escape routes.
Overthinking every symptom.
Feeling exhausted from just trying to get through the day while everyone around you thinks you’re “fine”.

Because I get it. And I see you 💓

I know what it feels like to live in survival mode for years and not realise how much of your life has slowly become about feeling safe instead of actually living.

And I am here to remind you that you are not alone.

There is hope.
There is healing.
And it is possible to live a life that feels calm, content and safe again ✨️

▶️ One of the biggest things that helped my nervous system finally start to feel calm again?

✅️ Learning how to stop over consuming.

❌️ And I’m not just talking about food or alcohol.

I mean:
constant scrolling
constant noise
constant podcasts
constant productivity
constant stimulation
constant “doing”

At one point, I realised I couldn’t even stand in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil without picking up my phone.

Silence felt uncomfortable.
Stillness felt unsafe.
Doing nothing felt… wrong.

So I started practising something that honestly felt harder than meditation:

➡️ Being bored.

Sitting outside without my phone.
Driving without filling every second with noise.
Folding washing without watching something.
Not reaching for dopamine every time I felt uncomfortable.

And slowly, my nervous system stopped acting like every quiet moment was a threat.

🎤 I think a lot of women don’t actually need more optimisation.

Truth bomb - I think they need more moments where nothing is required from them.

No performance.
No productivity.
No consuming.
No proving.

Just learning that it’s safe to simply be ✨️
