What a lovely afternoon for Beech House 😊☀️

Annie took Brian and Brenda out to Chew Valley Lake, where they all enjoyed a relaxed picnic lunch in the sunshine 🧺🌿. After eating, they went for a gentle walk around Chew Valley Lake, taking in the beautiful views and spotting lots of geese and ducks 🦆🪿.

Later, myself and Brenda enjoyed a shorter stroll before heading to the café for a well-earned cup of tea ☕🍰. Brian and Annie carried on a little further before joining us there, where Brian treated himself to a mint choc ice cream 🍦😋.

It was such a lovely afternoon together, and the sunshine certainly didn’t let us down ☀️💛. Annie has some more photos to share 📸

Quarry House residents enjoyed a fun-filled and entertaining afternoon with talented singer Rebecca, who treated everyone to a fantastic selection of well-loved favourites. 🌸🏡 BEECH HOUSE – LOVELY OUTING TO DOBBIES GARDEN CENTRE 🌿🌼

Jean and Dinah enjoyed a wonderful outing today to Dobbies Garden Centre. The trip was filled with fresh air, smiles, and plenty to see as we explored the bright, colourful, and beautiful flowers in bloom. 🌷🌺✨

Everyone enjoyed taking time to look around and admire the displays, sharing favourites and chatting about all the different plants. Dinah shared that her favourite flowers are lilies, adding a lovely personal touch to the day. 🌸💛

To finish the visit, we chose a beautiful plant to bring back to Beech House so everyone can enjoy seeing it and watch it grow. 🌱🏡

🎉⚽ FIELD HOUSE – VARIETY DAY FUN! ⚽🎉

Yesterday at Field House, residents enjoyed a fantastic variety day filled with fun, creativity, and plenty of smiles.

The day began with Claire’s “World in Pictures” theme: Sport, where residents got fully involved in the excitement of the World Cup. There was lots of cheering, waving scarves, and singing along, creating a brilliant match-day atmosphere full of team spirit and energy. 🧣🎶🙌⚽

The afternoon continued with a more relaxed and creative vibe, as residents enjoyed 1:1 craft activities and pampering manicures. 💅🎨✨ It was a lovely opportunity for personal time, creativity, and connection, with everyone enjoying the calm and friendly atmosphere.

A wonderful day of both excitement and relaxation, enjoyed by all. ❤️🏡

This morning at Quarry House, residents enjoyed getting together to make delicious sandwiches in celebration of National Picnic Day. 🧑‍🍳🥪😊

There was plenty of choice, laughter, and teamwork as everyone prepared their picnic treats, ready for a lovely afternoon outdoors. 🌿🍅🧀

Residents are hoping to take their sandwiches into the garden later to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. 🌞🌼 However, if the weather isn’t on their side, they will still enjoy them just as much for supper on their units this evening. ❤️🏡

A simple but lovely activity that brought everyone together and made the morning extra special. 🥪✨

🎶☀️ BEECH HOUSE – SUMMER SING-ALONG FUN! ☀️🎶

We were treated to a lovely afternoon of entertainment from Shannon, who had everyone singing and dancing along to her wonderful summer-themed songs. 🎤🌞🎵

The atmosphere was full of smiles, laughter, and plenty of toe-tapping as residents joined in with the music and enjoyed a fantastic afternoon together. 💃🕺😊

To make the experience even more special, residents were able to use shakers, adding their own rhythm and helping create a fun and interactive musical performance. 🪇🎶👏

A big thank you to Shannon for bringing such joy and energy to Beech House. We all had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to her next visit! ❤️🌻🎵

🏡⚽ GLEBE HOUSE – COME ON ENGLAND! ⚽🏡

This afternoon at Glebe House, we all decided it would be a great idea for our residents to come together and watch England’s first game on the big screen. With plenty of nibbles, bottles of beer, and lots of excitement, residents and staff joined together to support our country and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere. 🎉⚽🍺

There was plenty of cheering, laughter, and football talk throughout the match, making it a wonderful afternoon for everyone involved. 😊👏

A huge well done to England for an excellent start to the tournament, securing a fantastic 4–2 victory over Croatia! 🏆⚽🔥

We are already looking forward to the next game and cheering the team on together! 🙌🎉⚽

🎨☀️ Summer Arts & Crafts at Quarry House ☀️🎨

Last week, Quarry House residents took part in a creative arts and crafts session with Amy, where they designed and created a beautiful summer banner.

Using polystyrene tiles to print a variety of colourful images, residents enjoyed exploring their creativity and working together to produce something truly special.

The finished banner is now proudly on display in reception for everyone to see and enjoy, bringing a lovely burst of summer colour to the home.

🌤️⚽ Weekly Walk to The Bowl Inn ⚽🌤️

This morning at Glebe House, we enjoyed our weekly walk down to the local community pub, The Bowl Inn.

With the main topic of conversation being, of course, the England game played last night, there was plenty of football talk and friendly debate along the way! ⚽🦁 Residents shared their thoughts, reactions, and predictions, making for a lively and enjoyable outing.

It was a lovely morning spent in good company, fresh air, and great conversation, bringing together sport, community, and wellbeing all in one walk.

🎶🍬 National Fudge Day at Quarry House 🍬🎶

After attending the wonderful care concert on Tuesday, Quarry House residents continued the celebrations by marking National Fudge Day with a delicious mini fudge tasting session.

Residents enjoyed a selection of indulgent flavours including clotted cream, salted caramel, After Eight, double chocolate, Oreo cookie, and of course the classic Fingers of Fudge!

It was the perfect sweet treat to enjoy after dinner, with plenty of smiles, taste testing, and conversation shared among everyone.

A lovely way to round off a special day of music and celebration! 🎵💛
