Sensory problems and eczema treatments

Got eczema or know somebody who does?

Please do this survey and/or share it. There is hardly any research into how neurodiversity affects eczema. We think neurodivergent people have different needs or experiences of eczema treatment. But everyone might have problems with treatments applied to the skin.

The survey can be accessed: https://rapideczematrials.org/sensory-issues-and-eczema-survey/ and is open to all with eczema, both neurotypical and neurodivergent. The survey closes on 29 September 2026.

This is an unpaid activity and is part of a bigger piece of research using citizen science to investigate eczema called Rapid Eczema Trials https://rapideczematrials.org/

- People living with eczema aged 16 or older
- Parents or carers for those with eczema
- Eczema has been diagnosed by a healthcare professional

The Natasha Allergy Foundation launches their £10million prize to fund research into allergy prevention. We were grateful to collaborate with the Natasha Allergy Foundation who were a core member of the Food Allergy in Childhood Priority Setting Partnership steering group last year. And the top priority that came out of the PSP? Prevention, the primary goal of the new prize. Read more on the BBC website by clicking the link below:

The Natasha Allergy Foundation, a core member of the Food Allergy in Childhood Priority Setting Partnership steering group, launches a £10 million prize to focus on answering the top priority uncovered by the PSP:
“What are the safest, most effective and cost-effective ways to prevent food allergy in children?” by funding research on the first 1,000 days of a child's life.
