What happens, and how it works.
The Primordial Drum is a ceremonial congregation to collectively amplify and transmit Heart Mind Coherence and Conscious Presence out into the World.
The session starts with an introduction describing much of what follows in this text, and details of how to make the most of the experience and feel your safe to navigate some of the feelings and notions that might come up during the session.
Like a sound bath, the drum journey starts off very gently. Participants are brought into a meditative state by way of saging and intention/optional conscious allowing setting, followed by a drum meditation designed to bring all into communal coherence with the present moment.
After this, one of a selection of my home produced soundscapes created especially for these events fades in to set the scene for a journey into the underworld of naturr and abstract self. The drums slowly begin to build, softly taking participants out of physical experience, and into the realms of NowTime.
As the drums rise in intensity, strange and otherworldly sounds known to loosen tension and uproot stagnant energies accompany the rhythms as they climb and fall the ever increasing sonic waves.
At the pinnacle of the drumming, the rhythms churn up all those stagnant energies we all accumulate in our lives. It loosens them up and throws them about enough that they cant easily re-settle. I give easy techniques at the start of the journey to aid in making this as calming and flowing as possible. Some people even fall asleep, they find it so calming.
Next the drums calm and the waves slow, and similarly to the practice of 'Sounding', softer more harmonious sounds and music aid in transmuting all that stirred up energy into a revitalised source of energy, clarity and creativity. In many cases, even intuition, revelation and inner peace.
The session comes to an end with guidance on how to best slowly return to the physical realm. This is followed by bite sized vegan organic cocoa brownies to aid the body in waking, alining, and also works to ground the mind and spirit.
Participants are incouraged not to rush off at the end, but to take it easy and let the experience intergrate. Positive affects can noticably last for several days, and a slow emergence back into the world amplifies this hugely.
This will be the first time I'm hosting this event at The Assembly Rooms Glastonbury and so close to the often stated Heart Chakra of the World. What ever the case, the spiritual energy in Glastonbury is palpable, and its a great place to generate, amplifiy and transmit much needed coherence and presence to a weary world.
