This week, a group of our residents from Manor Community got the chance to visit one of the most famous buildings in the country: the Houses of Parliament.
We stood together in Westminster Hall, a space that's nearly 900 years old, and looked up at the huge wooden roof above us. It's hosted coronation banquets, state trials, and centuries of British history. Sunlight was pouring in through the big stained glass window at the far end, and honestly, a few of us just stood there taking it all in.
But the best part of the day wasn't really the history. It was just being out together. Lots of chatting, laughing, and photos, with everyone proudly wearing their visitor lanyards. Days like this, seeing something new and spending time together away from the usual routine, mean so much for everyone's wellbeing.
Big thanks to the team who organised the visit and to the staff at Parliament for making us feel so welcome. We're already talking about where to go next!
