💙 It takes a community to support a community.
Over the past few months, PCaSO Dorset has been incredibly fortunate to receive support from some amazing local businesses. Every one of them has helped us in a different way, allowing us to spend less on running costs and more on what really matters supporting men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
Today we’d like to publicly recognise some of our first PCaSO Dorset Community Supporters:
💙 easyStorage Dorset
💙 Merox Screenprint and Embroidery
💙 Mail Boxes Etc. Bournemouth Triangle
💙 CeX
💙 Forever and Ever Tattoo studio
Thank you all for believing in what we’re trying to achieve.
One thing we’ve learnt is that community support doesn’t always have to be financial. Businesses have skills, products, services and expertise that can make an enormous difference to a volunteer-led charity like ours.
As our branch continues to grow, so does our need for support. We are always looking for businesses and individuals who may be able to help with things such as:
🔹 Merchandise we can personalise and sell to raise funds.
🔹 Printing, banners, leaflets and promotional materials.
🔹 Storage, office space, equipment and supplies.
🔹 Light lunches, refreshments, tea and coffee for our volunteers and clinical teams at testing events (where these aren’t already provided by our hosts).
🔹 Volunteers and extra pairs of hands at our PSA testing and fundraising events.
🔹 Professional skills and services.
🔹 Sponsorship or financial support where possible.
No contribution is too small. Sometimes the simplest gesture can have the biggest impact.
In March we tested 190 men in Blandford, identifying 21 men requiring urgent follow-up and 9 others needing further monitoring. In September we’re preparing for our biggest event yet, with 500–700 men expected to attend for a potentially life-saving PSA blood test.
Every business that joins our Community Supporter programme becomes part of that story.
If your business would like to become a PCaSO Dorset Community Supporter, we’d love to hear from you. We’ll proudly recognise your support through our events, social media and community campaigns, because we believe those who help our community deserve to be recognised by it.
Together, we can build something truly special for Dorset.
💙 Supporting men. Helping men get tested. Saving lives.
