The Unseen Guests: Why Do Spirits and Other Entities Seem to Attach to Us?
Think of our energy field, our aura, as a protective bubble. Life, with its inevitable knocks and bruises – traumas, intense emotions like fear and anger, even the use of certain substances – can create little tears or weak spots in this bubble. These aren't necessarily permanent damage, but they do make us more vulnerable, like leaving a door slightly ajar.
And this is where the concept of 'entities' comes in. These are beings, similar to us in some ways, but existing on a different plane of consciousness. They can range from what are often called 'lower level' beings, driven by fear and negativity, to more complex 'dark forces' or even alien-based entities. Then there are the spirits, or ghosts, which are understood to be human souls or fragments of souls who, for various reasons, didn't cross over to the 'other side' after death.
Why would these spirits attach? Well, for them, it can be a way to maintain a connection to this realm, to experience life vicariously, or to draw energy – what's often referred to as life force – from a living person. Imagine being stuck, confused, or having unfinished business; attaching to someone might feel like a way to continue existing or to achieve a goal.
Dark forces, on the other hand, have a different agenda. They are often described as non-human energies that thrive on fear and negativity. Their purpose, as understood in these contexts, is to disempower humans, to amplify negative emotions and thoughts, and to essentially feed off the stolen energy and light of others. They're drawn to those who resonate with their frequency, meaning our own inner 'dark side' or unresolved issues can act as an open invitation.
So, when we talk about attachment, it's often through these energetic openings – the tears and distortions in our aura. These can be temporary, caused by a bad day filled with anger or fear, or more profound, stemming from deeper energetic wounds like soul loss from significant trauma. It's this vulnerability, this energetic openness, that allows these different types of entities to connect and influence us, affecting our moods, thoughts, habits, and overall well-being.
It's a complex idea, suggesting that we're not always alone in our energetic space, and that our own inner state plays a crucial role in who or what might be drawn to us. Understanding these energetic dynamics, as some people describe them, is seen as a key step in reclaiming personal power and maintaining energetic integrity
