The Silence Within - Sound Baths - South Wales

One of the lovely people who comes to my sound baths recently shared something that really stayed with me:

"I love the time from the time I'm packing up my bags, driving to you, parking and unpacking. My body knows what is coming and I relax so much quicker."

And it got me thinking.

Sometimes the sound bath begins long before the first gong is played.

The moment the yoga mat goes in the car.
The blanket gets packed.
The phone gets switched off.
The drive begins.

Perhaps part of us already knows we're about to step away from the noise for a little while.

Thank you to everyone who joined me this morning in Pontypridd.

The most meaningful part of the morning's sound bath for me wasn't the sound bath itself.

At the end of the session, a participant shared that she feels safe in the space. Safe enough to relax. Safe enough to let go.

That stayed with me ✨

Lately I've been reflecting on what The Silence Within really offers. The instruments matter. The sound matters. The venue matters.

But perhaps the most important thing is creating a space where, for a little while, you don't have to carry everything you're carrying.

A space where nothing is expected of you.
A space where you can arrive exactly as you are 💗

As much as I detest admin days - I love the creative element that it brings ✨

I noticed recently that I talk far too much at the end of the sound baths 🤫

Sharing this new offer and that new offer, when what people actually want/need is to remain in a regulated state until they naturally come back to homeostasis, and for their nervous system to not be bombarded with offerings, no matter how 'good' I think they are 🌸

To help reduce the amount my gums flap - I've created a flyer that I'll hand out at the end of each sound bath.

A weekend of gentle yoga, cacao, sound immersion, breathwork, Tai Chi, meditative walks, fireside storytelling, good food and genuine rest, all set within the beautiful surroundings of Tyn Cellar Farm, near Margam in South Wales.

The storm before the calm ✨

I’d like to take a moment to express my gratitude to the 30 participants this evening.

Thank you for your patience as we waited to be let into the building. You have no idea how much I appreciate every single one of you 💗

What unfolded before we even began could easily have become a source of frustration. Locked doors. An alarm system. Police arriving. A phone ringing during the session. The countless little ways reality refuses to follow the script we had written for it.

And yet, in many ways, this evening offered us the perfect opportunity to practise exactly what we had come together to explore.

Not by pretending everything was okay.

Not through toxic positivity.

Not by convincing ourselves that we should feel peaceful when we didn’t.

But by allowing whatever was present to be present.

Frustration if frustration arose.

Agitation if agitation arose.

Relief when the alarm stopped.

Laughter when things became slightly ridiculous.

Calm when calm eventually arrived.

Tonight wasn’t about creating the perfect experience.

It was about meeting the experience we were given.

And despite everything, or perhaps because of it, we shared a really beautiful evening together.

Thank you for bringing your patience, your presence, and your willingness to stay with what was here.

I appreciate every one of you 🙏
