Thank you so much to all those who joined my Introduction to Yoga course! Last session this evening and you all aced it. Such a great group; it’s been six weeks of lots of fun and energy! 💖

❗️Join me every month for an online Sunday yoga class, from my new space to yours! The first one is this SUNDAY 26 MARCH from 9.00 – 10.00 GMT via Zoom🧘🏼‍♀️
 
Oooh I am so happy to announce this! 🥰 (I did brief the cats - they were kind of on board... Swipe for some outtakes!)
 
😌These sessions are designed to be a little monthly reset for you, time to dedicate to yourself to be present and bring perspective. We will move together through an energising yoga flow, suitable for all (I provide lots of options so you can move in a way that suits YOU) and a guided meditation.
 
🤯As we’ve settled into to a ‘new normal’, it seems we are busier than ever and I truly believe that we can only show up as our best selves when we take the time to focus inwards too (something I’ve learnt the hard way)! If you want to take an hour to pause in the convenience of your own space, nurture your body and your mind and have a giggle with me then I’d love to see you there 🤗

Hello 💚 I really hope you’re having a beautiful start to 2023 🌱

Alongside my usual goals this year, I’ve set intentions - how I want to be. One of these is around being more authentic and I *almost* posted a really happy and pretty 2022 highlights reel with this… Buuut trust me, that wouldn’t have been very authentic 🙈

So here’s a random photo of me feeling pretty happy with fresh hair after eating a bar of white chocolate, which feels more like me 😉

2022 was a pretty challenging year overall. I get the sense I’m not the only one? Lots happened; lots didn’t. And I felt overwhelmed more times than I can count.

But I’ve learnt so much through it. And I am grateful for so much too. And I’m actually proud of myself in a way. I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting over the past few weeks and my three biggest takeaways from last year?

🧘🏼‍♀️When things are happening beyond my control, focus instead on what I can control.
💕 There is always something (and often lots) to be grateful for.
📝Work on myself is never wasted, even if the journey feels sticky.

Just some little musings from me on this Friday afternoon.

⚡️Ahh. Good old New Year’s resolutions 😑

In case you didn’t get the vibe: I’m not a huuuge fan 🤷🏼‍♀️

Don’t get me wrong - I do LOVE setting goals. And I love the new year for a bit of motivation to set new goals so I can work towards what I want from life. ✅

But what don’t I love? Unsustainable resolutions that make me feel like I need to change who I am to be successful, worthy or ‘better’ and that ultimately make me feel worse when I fail. ❌

Sadly, this is where I was about 6 years ago… Here’s my issue with resolutions and the ‘new year, new you’ vibe:

➡️ You don’t need a new you. You are you, and you good enough already.

Instead of a new you, you might simply need a new approach to framing your goals or a new understanding of your motivation so you can kick some ass 😉

💕THANK YOU! 🌟

As it’s Christmas tomorrow and we come to the end of this year, I wanted to pop on here and say such a big heartfelt thank you. Whether we’ve met on here, we’ve worked together, if I’ve coached you or you’ve joined my yoga classes - thank you ❤️

This year hasn’t always been easy, and running a side business along a full time job has sometimes felt utterly overwhelming. But I love doing what I do and that’s genuinely what has spurred me on.

The photos are from our last yoga class of this year and it filled me with complete joy to see you all show up and have such fun! It’s also been so special working with coaching clients achieving their goals this year - you know who you are. Thank you all for putting your trust in me.

There is so much opportunity in 2022 that I can’t wait to get started! 🎉 I tend to look forward a lot… but there’s a lot to be said for looking back at how far we’ve come too. So that’s what I’ll be doing until then - taking stock and resting.

So for now, I’ve decided I’m going to (and need to!) take a little social media break over Christmas. So have a brilliant festive break everyone and wishing you a very happy new year! 🥳✨

🥰 A little Sunday memo for anyone who needs to hear it 💕

I know it’s hard to switch off. If you’re someone on the go all the time, motivated and driven, looking after others, then the thought of slowing down probably doesn’t come into your head all that much 🙈

But trust me (from someone who equally struggles), we are biological so we actually perform best from a place of relaxation, where our energy is high and ready to tackle what’s in front of us💪🏼

So if you do one thing today, consider this your sign to slow down and carve out some time for you 💫

🙋🏼‍♀️Something yoga taught me to do more of…

TRUST 💕

Maybe it’s the little voice inside your head that supports you, or a gut feeling. Maybe it’s a can-do attitude, or a willingness to try new things. Trust can empower us… or a lack of it can limit us. And like many, I’ve felt the limitations a lot too 😬

Here’s a little story: This pose is Chakrasana, wheel pose. I used to struggle with this pose so much, never mind one-legged. I did always manage to push off the ground, but the fear to get there was huge and I constantly doubted my strength. Like, how was my body meant to do that and stay there?! 🤯

At some point, I just had to trust. Without overthinking, just set yourself up right, trust yourself and your body - and just do it💪🏼

And then I built my confidence, bit by bit, and then I got stronger. Now I’m here, and building my own self-trust is an ongoing journey (personally and professionally), but the lessons that arise along the way are invaluable. And guess what? Some of the BEST things have happened when I’ve listened to that little voice or feeling and just gone for it 💖

🌟It’s here! 🌟 I am SO excited to share my new website. Want to know who I am and what I do? It’s all there!

🤓 I went on a huuuge learning curve when I first set up a website almost two years ago. I did the original site all myself, learnt on the job (and it took flipping forever) but I’m so glad I did.

💡 But I got to a point this year when I needed some extra help to streamline the design and functionality. I also wanted to add more content to really show my passion to help people improve their wellbeing and feel more like themselves.

🧘🏼‍♀️ You’ll notice a theme: reconnection. I believe we are at our best when we are truly being ourselves. Sometimes we lose ourselves a little bit along the twisty road that is life. When we do, pausing and finding ways to reconnect to who we are (a bit like driving home) can help us feel better and move forwards.

💕 And that’s what I do: yoga, coaching and wellbeing services to reconnect with ourselves, others, and purpose.
