Scar progress and treatment details
This is a progress photo rather than a final result, showing the changes achieved so far through MCA inkless medical needling alone - no ink had been implanted at the stage shown here.
This scar was originally caused by laser tattoo removal, which left areas of the skin raised and textured, alongside hypopigmentation that created a noticeable white contrast against the surrounding skin.
For this case in the before and after, treatments so far has included:
• 2 session of MCA inkless medical needling to encourage collagen remodelling and improve tissue quality
Treatment began with MCA inkless medical needling to support collagen remodelling, soften the scar tissue and improve the overall quality and appearance of the area.
Alongside the changes in texture, some of the client’s natural pigmentation has begun to return in areas of the scar following needling, helping to soften some of the contrast of the original white scar. Repigmentation following needling can occur in some scars, although individual responses vary and it cannot be guaranteed.
We have now begun the next stage of treatment using custom scar camouflage pigment, gradually introducing colour to further reduce the remaining contrast and help the scar integrate more naturally with the surrounding skin.
I look forward to sharing on going progress from ink sessions, once the pigments settle, and the final healed result.
Every scar responds differently, which is why treatment is approached gradually and adapted according to how the individual skin responds.
