I find it crazy to look back at my camera roll over the past 8 months to see the progress that this unit has made.
It may not look that different to you, but to me this space has truly transformed. To see it go from a concrete, metal and glass shell to now be divided up into ’s cafe, studio, wellness rooms, bathrooms and locker room blows my mind.
So much has changed in the unit. If you look carefully:
1. One HUGE unit, being carved into 2
2. The original concrete floor being raised to pavement height once all the utilities had been added
3. The ceiling being dropped from the original slab, with various layers being added to house the essential inner workings of such a big space
4. Enormous units being added
5. Ventilation going in
6. Walls being erected
7. Pipes being laid
8. Wiring being passed through walls
9. Electrics being put in
10. WiFi cells being added
… I could go on!
Seeing designs come off the page and take shape in bricks and mortar! Key design elements like the arched entrance to the studio made manifest, all from an idea that started life in my mind... 🤯
I’m trying to take moments of reflection rather than getting stuck in the weeds.
And this carrousel has really helped me do that today.
