Does you feel you have had fair access to fertility care?
So many don’t.
Sadly many couples are not investigated thoroughly enough before being sent for IVF, some are “simple” things that could have been identified - subclinical thyroid issues, low or non-existent progesterone production, male fertility that isn’t investigated properly, infections, immune issues etc. Poor fertility awareness even in some cases - ie the basics of actually how and when to conceive.
Fertility care is not the same from country to country, some pay through the nose, some don’t, the standards are all very different between countries and within countries.
We are in an infertility epidemic and yet it’s taking so long to realise this. I see in my work circles what is obvious but outside in “normal life” the lack of knowledge around some of the basics is crazy!
Being a military wife I’ve sadly lost out on opportunities as we’ve had to move around, it’s meant having to travel overseas at great cost and not everyone can afford this, it’s nearly broken us so many times. I want to eat beans on toast but then cannot because I know it doesn’t help my fertility so it’s super tough.
This is why I’m creating a low-cost monthly membership to provide access to my work, as not everyone can afford to pay for 1:1 and I cannot afford to give my time away for free as much I want to help everyone I meet.
How have you felt? Share your experience below ⬇️ and I’ll PM you with more details.
Finally, as it’s something that isn’t provided within standard fertility care is EMOTIONAL support. My friend and colleague Alice Rose from is running my an amazing 6 week course called RECLAIM to support your emotional wellbeing in the most special way. I’m doing it! It’s so necessary to look after your emotions on this journey.
