Where: woods close to Kendal (confirmed on booking)
When: 12th Sept, 13:00-16:00
What: An exploration of the wonderful fungi, plants and berries in your local woodland

Come and join us on this wonderful woodland exploration in this beautiful ancient woodland. Full of fungi, tasty wild foods and medicinal herbs and berries.

We’ll look at how to safely identify, forage for and process the fungi, plants and berries this wonderful woodland holds. Bex will guide you safely through the process, giving you the knowledge to start your foraging journey or take your next steps.

What: Foraging fungi & Fire with optional woodland sauna 🧖

Join us for this wonderful afternoon of exploring the woodland at Langley tracks. We’ll explore and forage for a range of wild mushrooms, look at how to safely identify them, and then bring them back to the fireside where we will cook them up and enjoy a wonderful shroomy feast, having time to chat together about all things mushroom.

And then the bonus, after this nourishing afternoon, you can add the wonderful extra of a woodland sauna and cold dip, with mushroom infused hot chocolate and a wild inspired treat.

Home ed foraging club - Coastal edition

What: Home ed foraging club, coastal connection
When: Friday 4th Sept, 10am -12 noon, plus we can stay and play for as long as you like afterwards
Where: coastal spot, south of Silloth

Foraging at the coast can be such a breath of fresh air, and there are so many tasty wild plants that grow there, most of which are passed by without a second glance. But would you and your young people like to come and explore these hidden treasures?

Bex is running a coastal exploration for home ed families in Cumbria. The location is perfect for young people who want to deep dive into the info and for those who prefer more play.

There will be a wild inspired snack available and Bex will bring the knowledge, ready to share and empower. We can continue the play and exploration throughout the day after the “official” session had finished. So bring along a packed lunch and gear to keep you protected for whatever the North Cumbria weather has to offer.

This is priced to make it accessible for all, so please come join us.
