WAYS TO BOOST YOUR GUT HEALTH WITH ENDOMETRIOSIS

Did you know that 85% of women with endometriosis reported a digestive complaint in the past year?! Or that 65% of endo warriors suffer from constipation, 43% from diarrhoea and 41% from nausea?
Research is increasingly pointing to the resident bacteria in our gut as an explanation for the gut dysfunction experienced by endo warriors. Indeed, the gut microbiome of people with endometriosis is distinct from those without.
If you would like support for boosting gut health, from fibre & water to prebiotics & probiotics, and rich food sources to incorporate into your diet for endometriosis, book a free health review now via my Bio or https://calendly.com/annika-nourishingnewlife/free-health-review

Why are pulses important to your fertility

Pulses are packed with plant protein and are a great source of plant-based iron, zinc, magnesium, and a variety of B vitamins.
They are budget-friendly and are a great way to make your animal proteins stretch further by incorporating into a Bolognese or meatball mixture.
Pulses are packed with gut-loving fibre and resistant starch to fuel the gut microbiota which can play a role in hormone production too.
And, they are pretty much saturated fat-free meaning none of this pro-inflammatory fat is hurting your egg or s***m health.

Did you know magnesium has several benefits for heart health?

Benefits of magnesium to support cardiovascular health
❤️ Regulating heart rhythm: Magnesium plays an important role in regulating the heart’s electrical impulses, which are responsible for controlling the heart’s rhythm. A deficiency of magnesium can lead to abnormal heart rhythms or arrhythmias.
❤️ Lowering blood pressure: Magnesium helps to relax the blood vessels, which reduces the resistance to blood flow and lowers blood pressure. High blood pressure is a risk factor for heart disease, so maintaining normal blood pressure levels is important for heart health.
❤️ Reducing inflammation: Magnesium has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the body, including inflammation in the arteries that can contribute to heart disease.
❤️ Improving lipid profile: Magnesium supplementation has been shown to improve lipid profile by reducing levels of triglycerides and LDL cholesterol, which are risk factors for heart disease.
❤️ Protecting against oxidative stress: Magnesium has antioxidant properties that help protect the heart and blood vessels against damage from oxidative stress, which is a contributor to the development of heart disease.
❤️ Reduces insulin resistance: Magnesium helps in sensitising the insulin receptors. Insulin resistance can lead to changes in metabolism and signalling pathways in the heart that may contribute to myocardial dysfunction.
There are many forms of magnesium and it is essential we take the right form; this is why a personalised nutritional therapy programme would be of benefit and gives us the opportunity to ensure our dietary choices are supporting our cardiovascular health.

5 REASONS WHY FOCUSING ON YOUR DIET SHOULD BE A PRIORITY BEFORE TRYING TO CONCEIVE

1. Working on your relationship with food and food habits may take longer than you think! You want to allow yourself plenty of time to develop healthy habits that not only work for your health goals, but are also enjoyable and sustainable.
2. Your healthy habits will have lasting impacts - in generations! If you're having a little girl, all the eggs that she will ovulate in her lifetime will form while still in your belly, so your habits have the potential to impact on 3 generations - you, your baby and your baby's baby!
3. Getting your nutrition right before falling pregnant can safeguard against pregnancy and delivery complications, for you and for your baby.
4. Research shows that poor diet quality during pregnancy can negatively impact the developing foetus through epigenetics (changes that determine how our body reads our DNA, and what genes are expressed). These changes can be passed down generations, and can affect things from your baby's cognitive development to their risk of chronic diseases in later life, like obesity and type 2 diabetes.
5. Children do not do as you say, they do as you act! Your healthy

Egg health and quality
Text: In the past, a common belief was that the only factor which determines ovarian and egg health was age. Based on new studies, this may not be true.
There are many factors that can have an impact on the health of the ovaries and eggs including:
environmental factors
hormones in the diet
stress
Alcohol
Smoking
In addition, having healthy fertility is based on many additional aspects to consider, including:
➡️ Proper circulation
➡️ A healthy fertility cycle
➡️ Balanced hormones
➡️ Healthy eggs
Egg health is one of the cornerstones of a healthy fertility. The health of your eggs can affect whether or not fertilization and implantation will occur as well as the viability of a pregnancy.
During the cycle of an egg’s journey towards ovulation, there is a window of opportunity, a period of time, when certain factors can affect the health of the eggs that are preparing for ovulation. This journey takes about 90 days.
The steps you take today will impact the health of your eggs 3 months from now. This is why my programmes are a minimum of 90 days to prepare for pregnancy or IVF/IUI.
The good news is that there are steps you can take to help support the health of your eggs.

PMS?
Endometriosis?
Fibroids?
Oestrogen dominance and your fertility

Some women experience symptoms of oestrogen dominance like PMS, heavy bleeding, menstrual cramps, fibroids, and endometriosis. Women with oestrogen dominance produce too much oestrogen, or too much of certain oestrogen metabolites, and too little progesterone, and typically are not able to clear old oestrogen out of the body optimally. Abnormal oestrogen levels can lead to infertility or difficulty conceiving.

Functional testing such as the DUTCH test will not only measure levels of oestrogen and progesterone but also your oestrogen metabolism as well. When your oestrogen metabolism is healthy, you will be able to bind and clear oestrogen effectively, reducing symptoms of oestrogen dominance.

If you suspect that you may have oestrogen dominance a DUTCH test in addition to nutritional therapy will be a great way to support your symptoms and encourage healthy balanced hormones.
If you would like to know more about the DUTCH test, book a free health review now via my Bio or https://calendly.com/annika-nourishingnewlife/free-health-review

Age is among the most important single risk factors for chronic disease.
Text:
The core concept is simple: chronic disease, decline, and disability are not signs of normal ageing but abnormal ageing, and this is being driven by our modern diet and lifestyle habits, which impede the body’s evolved ability to heal, repair, and renew itself.
It is important to integrate the habits and behaviours that have been proven to prevent disease and enhance our vitality and quality of life.
