People often come looking for strength or flexibility. And theyโ€™re important.

But over time, many people develop something else: a stronger connection with their own body.

They start to recognise what feels supportive and what doesnโ€™t.

They stop trying to hold in their tummy, grit their teeth or over-effort through every movement.

Less about thinking how to move. More about feeling it. ๐Ÿ’›

I often see people chasing the stretch.

Which makes sense, because a big stretch can feel satisfying in the moment.

But moving through range with control tends to feel very different.

Less like pulling on something tight. More like creating space, connection and mobility the body can actually use.

Not everything needs to be pushed harder to create change.

That difference matters.

This is what Iโ€™m looking for when Iโ€™m teaching:

Not just whether an exercise is being done โ€œcorrectlyโ€ โ€”
but how itโ€™s happening in the body.

Iโ€™m watching for signs you can:

โ€ข soften away from tension
โ€ข find length through your body
โ€ข feel more connected with โ€” and even enjoy โ€” the movement

And also the opposite:

โ€ข tension held in your jaw
โ€ข bracing through your chest or ribs
โ€ข movement that feels painful or effortful

Often itโ€™s subtle.

But these small shifts โ€” from holding and pushing
to something more supported and connected โ€”
are where things begin to change.

Youโ€™re likely caught in a cycle of pushing through โ†’ feeling worse โ†’ stopping โ†’ and starting again.

It can feel frustratingโ€ฆ like you just canโ€™t stick to anything.

But itโ€™s not a motivation issue.
Itโ€™s not a discipline issue.

Itโ€™s what happens when your body doesnโ€™t feel supported.

So you keep trying harderโ€ฆ
and getting the same result.

If your body feels sensitive, unpredictable, or just needs a different approach โ€” this is how I work.

Sessions are intentional and responsive โ€” helping you understand how your body moves, organises and builds strength, rather than pushing through exercises.

We start by creating awareness through breath, position and movement, allowing your body to settle and respond.

From there, strength develops in a way that feels more coordinated, more controlled, and more supported โ€” not something you have to force.

Over time, this tends to show up not just in sessions, but in how you move and feel day to day.

For those whose body feels a bit different to how it used to โ€” whether thatโ€™s more aches and flare-ups, recurring niggles, or just feeling more tired and less supported.

Often thereโ€™s an element of hypermobility or joint instability involved, even if itโ€™s never been formally identified.
