Spring sunshine means we’re taking physio outdoors ☀️🚶♀️
This weekend I worked with my wonderful 90-year-old client Ian, completing different tasks in the garden to build his confidence, balance and mobility. We walked across different surfaces including grass, pebbled paths and dry mud tracks to help prepare him for getting out and about more this summer.
Practising on varied terrain is such an important part of rehabilitation as real life isn’t always flat, smooth flooring! By challenging balance safely and gradually, we can improve strength, coordination and confidence for everyday walks, trips out and enjoying independence.
Ian worked incredibly hard and did such a great job as always 👏
