FND Peer Support Hi,
My Name is Karla. I was diagnosed with FND in December 2023, and like many of you, I am sure, it turned my life upside down in a heartbeat.

This support page has been developed to assist individuals and carers of those diagnosed with Functional Neurological Dissorder (FND), share common issues and come together to support each other. Since the beginning of symptoms to gaining an official diagnosis took approximately 6 months however, since diagnosis, it was evident that the hard work was only just beginning. I Suffer with seizures on

a daily basis (anywhere up to 17 in one night), require the use of a wheel chair and i am no longer able to drive
I found that from diagnosis, there was very little support for those that are affected, especially at a local level, and wanted to firstly set up a facebook community and a physical peer support group for those diagnosed, and also for those carrying out the caring roles.

Hi all there is a change in the shop this week due to hospital commitments and event commitment. Wednesday the shop will open at 10.30 untll 4pm

WE NEED YOU!!!!!!!
We are looking for volunteers who may be interested in a donate a day project to transform unused space in the support centre into a more beneficial area.

Would like to say thank you so much for all the donations we received last week and to all the people who purchased things. it means the world to us as we can provide more groups and support for others . We have received a lot of uniforms in so please come along they are in really good condition . Back open on Wednesday at10am. Have a lovely day.
