💼🧳Sometimes it can feel like emotions have moved in and that they won't ever leave.... Therapy is a chance to unpack, straighten out the things the emotions are bringing with them and get them organised again.
When this happens, you might find that they are ready to take their leave, until the next visit 🧳💼

✨✨✨There are many 'little' things we do in therapy to help you on your journey. This is one of my favourite... Reflecting things back to you, helping you to recognise the progress you have made, snapshotting a moment to you so that you can come back to it later and reinforcing those neural pathways with a small gesture you might not even notice.
A good therapist can do these things in a way that feels natural, conversational almost- not like you are being over analysed, just being seen, and validated. ✨✨✨

You might have seen me post last week about some upcoming changes to Eden...
I am delighted to announce the next chapter for my practice and the new name: Foxfield Psychology.

The name is a nod to growing up in the Cheshire countryside, watching foxes and badgers in the garden. I wanted a name that felt authentic, a world away from "clinical" and that encompassed my therapy, supervision and training services.

What you can expect:

⚜️The Same Care: Evidence-based CBT & CFT for adults and young people (12+).

⚜️The Same Person: Down-to-earth support backed by over 15 years experience in mental health.

⚜️A New Space: A new name and home for therapy, supervision, and training.

I hope you like it as much as I do 🤍

Sometimes, people feel that they are 'doing therapy wrong' if they don't make progress quickly. There's no *right* way to do therapy or to make progress because we are all different.

One of the most important parts of being a therapist is holding the hope when you can't see it yourself, and helping you to acknowledge the progress you might not be able to see.

It's this week.
It can be difficult to remember to make time to look after our mental health and to , but it doesn't have to be big things...sometimes the little things can have a huge impact.

Why not try and do one thing this week to help promote good mental health for yourself or others ❤️

For the last 15 years, my work has been about finding the right lens to help people see their own strengths. Lately, I've been working on a new lens of my own. Something that brings together my (nearly finished) PhD research, my clinical work, the training I offer and my love of high quality, bespoke psychological support.

Stay tuned...something new is coming 👀🤍

Hello.... it's been a while, hasn't it?!

I'm still here, working away in the background supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing 👋🤍

As some of you are aware, I am also completing a PhD in psychology, which has taken up all of my 'spare' time, meaning Eden's social media has been super quiet. BUT the end of the PhD is in sight, and I'm excited to bring the new services and ideas that I have learned along the way into the work I do and getting back to posting on here over the coming months.

Wishing you all well,
Rebecca 🤍

Last week I had the pleasure of delivering a talk to students at The University of Salford all about how to look after our mental health and wellbeing.
We talked about stress, anxiety, depression and shared ideas of how to care for ourselves before doing a mindfulness practice together.

The students were amazing and we had great fun discussing what it's like to be in the world right now as well as connecting with each other in the moment.

Would your uni, business or organisation benefit from something like this? Get in touch to find out how we can help!
