Happy 1st September!

After the company I worked for sadly went into liquidation last month, i've started studying for my AAT qualification in Accountancy.

My intention was to take a few months off to get my teeth into studying...but I've been 'head hunted' and i've now got a new job starting in a couple of weeks 😬😆

Here is to new beginnings!

1.1lb off this week! 😃

After being slightly disappointed with my weight loss over the past month, I decided to 'rip off' the proverbial 'sticky plaster' and drop my calories by another 100 a day.

This week I averaged 1467 calories a day, and around 7500 steps a day.

This is the lowest my calories have been, but also my step/activity is still a lot lower.

Has it been easy?...nope...but then nothing worth having is ever easy!

Going to eat, sleep and repeat and see what the next week brings.

Reduced my calories this week (averaged 1537 a day) and still only lost 0.4lb 🙄

My hip flexors/quad muscles on my right leg are still causing me grief, but averaged around 7k steps a day.

Weight loss seems painfully slow at the moment (averaging at around a quarter of a pound a week)

The 'old' me would have thrown in the towel by now and consoled myself with as much chocolate as possible! 🫣

The 'new' me still wants to throw in the towel and eat the chocolate, but knows the scales are not always a true reflection of fat loss.

So for now i'll put the scales on the naughty step and ignore them until they learn to be nice 🤣

0.5lb on this week...it was expected, but not really due to over-eating!

My hip flexor strain and the heat will have caused inflammation.

The pain and the heat has also meant my sleep has been rubbish this week 😴

I've only managed an average of 4k steps a day but have been more hungry (probably just due to boredom from sitting around more)

Only went over calories by 300 Friday as tiredness was making me 'snacky' and over by around 200 yesterday due to a family meal out.

The fact that everything is tracked, I know the 0.5lb is little more than a water fluctuation.

How do I 'fix' it?
By ignoring the scales and keeping consistent!

Having a rest day today, my right leg/hip has been a bit grumpy the past few days. I thought I could work through it, but it had a full on tantrum last night 😢

So it seems rest, painkillers and ice packs will be back in the routine for a few days😔
