I just needed to cook a feast.

On the menu:

✨ An array of homemade dips, hummus, baba ganoush, tzatziki, aubergine salad, tabbouleh and warm pita bread.

🍗 Chicken shawarma with crispy chips.

🥙 Donner kebab served with roasted vegetables.

🐟 Harissa salmon with fragrant saffron rice.

🍵 Fresh mint tea and ice cream to finish.

A table full of flavour, colour and all the dishes I love making most. Sometimes the best way to spend a day is simply cooking for the people you love 🤍

Hijazi Corner, tucked away on Edgware Road, felt like being transported somewhere else entirely. Floor seating, shared boards and plates, fresh mint tea pouring and that warm feeling of food bringing everyone together.

Started with the mince & cheese montabag before moving onto chicken and lamb mandi served with salsa and salad, comforting, full of flavour and made even better by the whole experience of gathering around and eating together.

Finished the way every good meal should… with fresh mint tea…

Spent the dreamiest summer day at Painshill Park, a beautiful 18th-century landscape park filled with hidden pathways, lakes, bridges, magical viewpoints and storybook scenery around every corner. It honestly feels like stepping into another world.

And if it looked familiar… yes, scenes from Bridgerton were filmed here too, which somehow made the whole day feel even more like living inside a period drama 💚✨

Finally tried the viral Belgravia brunch spot everyone hypes up on the socials … ☕️

Outdoor seating? Gorgeous.The vibe? Very “LDN girl brunch”.But as the song says… everything looks nice but really not that great 😭

The violet latte absolutely had to be a no.Weak matcha, rubbery omelette, disappointing bagel… and suddenly it all started feeling a bit more like good social media marketing than actual good food.

I usually never do bad reviews because I know taste is subjective but my cousin and I honestly had the funniest morning laughing through it all 💀

The real winner?The coffee and pecan croissant from across the road at Chestnut Bakery 🥐✨ .bakery

Would you queue an hour for the perfect chocolate cake… or does it not actually exist?

So I had to try the viral chocolate caramel cake from The Boy Who Bakes at Population Bakery inside Corner Shop.

They drop it weekends at midday and weekdays at 3 and people literally queue for it.

Soft chocolate sponge, rich dark ganache, whipped salted caramel buttercream… it looks ridiculously satisfying.

Honestly? It’s good. Very rich, very heavy… but I just don’t get the hype.

But Corner Shop on a sunny London day? That part absolutely lives up to the vibe.
