I’m bisexual. 🩷💜💙
If you need a box to put me in, then I suppose that’s the one I’d tick.
But the truth is, I’ve spent most of my life trying to fit into boxes that were never made for me. I wasn’t made to fit neatly into labels, and I’m no longer ashamed of that.
Some people already know this about me, but many don’t. I haven’t shared this part of myself because of fear. Fear of assumptions. Fear of stereotypes. Fear that one word would become louder than everything else that makes me who I am.
But I’m not afraid anymore.
Because I am so much more than a label. I’m not defined by who I love, what I believe, what I do, or how I look. Those things are parts of me, but they are not the whole of me.
The only label that truly matters is this: I am human.
I’m done worrying about what I say around certain people. I’m done hiding the parts of myself that aren’t black and white, that don’t fit neatly into categories, or that might challenge someone else’s understanding of the world.
I’m proud of who I am.
Not because I have all the answers, but because I’ve finally found the courage to stop apologising for existing exactly as I am.
Here’s to living authentically, not because it’s easy, but because it’s the only way any of us can truly be free.
