We, the undersigned, call for an urgent, independent public inquiry into the catastrophic failure of local and national authorities to lawfully manage the disposal of toxic chemical waste from the former steelworks site in Corby, Northamptonshire.

For decades, hazardous waste from Corby’s steelworks was negligently dumped or inadequately contained, exposing generations of residents to deadly chemicals. This gross mismanagement has been linked to alarming health consequences, including:

· Severe limb deformities in children born in the area, a tragic legacy of chemical contamination.

· Dramatically increased cancer rates affecting both adults and children in Corby, with families suffering devastating losses and ongoing health challenges.

· Congenital heart defects and renal (kidney) problems.

· Chronic respiratory illnesses, including asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

· Rising levels of neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD and autism, which scientific studies connect to heavy metal exposure.

Despite mounting evidence and community outcry, the responsible authorities have failed to take meaningful action or provide justice for affected families. This failure represents a profound betrayal of public trust and a serious threat to public health.

We demand a full public inquiry to:

· Investigate the extent of the toxic waste mismanagement.

· Identify all responsible parties, including local and national bodies.

· Examine the direct health impacts on Corby’s community.

· Recommend measures to manage contamination and support affected residents.

· Ensure accountability and prevent such a tragedy from happening again.

The people of Corby deserve transparency, justice, and a safe environment. Please join us in demanding this crucial inquiry.

Sign now to call for a public inquiry into the toxic legacy left in Corby — for the health and safety of all residents, now and in the future.

Can I please ask you to take a minute & give
your support in signing and sharing the
attached petition. The lovely community of
Corby deserves answers & justice.
The solicitor, who won the first court case, said in a
recent TV interview: "Sadly I believe the people in the first court
case, where just the tip of the iceberg".
And, sadly with the amount of people coming
forward since the release of Toxic Town, his
statement is worryingly looking to be true.
Let's work together to support the community
of Corby & let Corby be a shining light around
the country for others experiencing similar
situations. Thank you.
