In memory of my dad, and to celebrate my 49th birthday, I’ve decided to do something a bit special.
Starting this coming Monday 20th April (sorry, a bit short notice, but you’ll just have to roll with it)…..
…..I’m going to be running (COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE), a 28 Day Health and Wellness Programme for men.
The ‘Primal Protocol 2.0’ 28 Day Challenge!💪 🥩
(Women will be more than welcome if they don’t mind a bit of swearing and a laddish environment)
Let me be clear on what this is, and who it’s for.
The aim of the programme will be to teach men about achieving a high level of physical and mental HEALTH.
And I’ve deliberately used the word HEALTH, as opposed to FITNESS.
This will be all about getting men super super HEALTHY, not necessarily super super FIT - because they are two VERY DIFFERENT THINGS.
For example…..
If you want to be able to play football with your kids/grandkids - this is for you.
If you want to lose your belly, love handles, and man b***s - this is for you.
If you want to start filling out your tshirt a bit (in the RIGHT places!) - this is for you.
If you want to be able to carry your wife up to the bedroom on a Saturday night - this is for you (you might need to get the wife on the programme also!)
If you want to elevate your mood and energy, and lower your stress levels and start sleeping better - this is for you.
If you want to learn how to look after your body, brain, and heart properly - this is for you.
If you want to learn how to MINIMISE YOUR DISEASE RISK (cancer, heart disease, cognitive decline) as you get older - this is for you.
Listen - if you’re a serious/competitive athlete/sportsman, into Hyrox or Cross Fit, want to be a Royal Marine, or get on the front cover of Men’s Health - this WON’T be what you’re looking for.
So.
A little bit more detail…..
Nutrition:
I WILL NOT be asking you to ‘go carnivore’, or follow any other kind of very restrictive ketogenic diet.
HOWEVER.
I WILL be asking you to ‘go paleo’ - which is cutting all the processed and sugary s**t out of your diet, and just eating natural, whole, single ingredient foods.
Exercise:
NO BRUTAL WORKOUTS
If you can sprint on the spot as fast as you can for 15 seconds (even if it’s a very poor effort to start with!)…..
…..rest for 1 minute…..
….do it again……
….and then repeat for 6 times IN TOTAL……
…..and do this JUST ONCE PER WEEK…..
…..then that’s about as hard as it gets!
The rest of the programme is just about getting out walking, weighted walking, jogging if you want to, and a couple of steady strength sessions per week.
As well as the nutrition and exercise, I’ll be introducing you to the benefits of:
1. Stretching
2. Meditating
3. Going to bed earlier.
And that’s about it.
That’s all I’m asking you to commit to.
Just 5 simple little habit changes over 28 days that, i promise you, will have a massive positive impact on your health and wellbeing.
We start Monday.
