Who do we Work With? The team work with babies, children and young people who have difficulties with language, speec
h sounds, stammering, voice, selective mutism, feeding and swallowing. These difficulties could be, but are not always, linked with:
Mild, moderate or severe learning difficulties
Physical disabilities
Hearing impairment
Cleft palate
Autism
Head injury
Degenerative conditions
How can I Access the Service? Anyone who knows or works with a child or young person can refer to our service – the referral system is open to all. This may include parents/carers, teachers, other health professionals, consultants, GP's for example. Professionals referring on behalf of a parent must obtain the parent/carer’s signature, before the form is sent to us. Referrals for school-age children require an Additional Information form to be completed and sent with the completed referral form.
