TONIGHT!
6-7PM
Just Dropped In
FarGo Village Coventry
May's peer support session will be a Stitching Metal themed session. Giving you the opportunity to get creative and crafty with sewing patches onto your chosen material (battle jacket, patch bag, patch trousers, etc.)
All you need to bring is; yourself, your patches, your material to sew onto and your needle and thread. I will bring spare sewing needles and thread, just in case. I will also bring off cuts of material and a few patches to practice upon.
Heavy Metal Therapy Coventry's peer support sessions are held at Just Dropped In, record store at Fargo Village, Far Gosford Street, Coventry. The session is FREE to all and lasts 1 hour from 6pm - 7pm. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.
Join us for a Mental Health Peer Support Session made by heavy metal fans, for heavy metal fans.
Whether you’re struggling, surviving, or just wish to connect with likeminded people — you're not alone.
What is a peer support group?
Our peer support groups are places where metal fans can get together to chat about music and mental health. They are not structured conversations but may focus on a topic or activity (like a playlist or doing crafts). Heavy Metal Therapy's groups are run by trained facilitators in peer support - they are not 'treatment' or mental health services, rather a chance to share experiences and discuss coping strategies. We have resources and signposting available at our groups.
