At Rare Impact Care Services Ltd , our motto, "Care Beyond Expectations," isn't just a phrase—it's the core of how we support individuals, both in their cherished homes and vibrant local communities.

🔷️We believe that every person deserves to live a life filled with dignity, choice, and joy, not just a life managed. True support is deeply personal, and it starts with seeing the person, not the diagnosis. We take the time to truly understand an individual's unique needs, strengths, dreams, and communication style.

🔷️Our support in the community offers endless opportunities for connection, personal growth, and fulfilment. Our goal is to break down barriers and ensure our clients are valued, active, and included citizens. We support individuals to explore their interests—be it a local sports club, an art class, library, shopping, a community garden, or accessing employment and education. This support is carefully tailored to an individual.

✨️We work to ensure that the voice of the person we support is heard, loud and clear. Their choices, their aspirations, and their control over their own life are non-negotiable.

🌟 Our commitment to Care Beyond Expectations is delivered through a team of highly trained, compassionate carers who are passionate about making a rare impact every single day.
If you are looking for support that truly champions the individual and empowers them to live their best life, in their own home and in their community, we are here to help.

Seasonal Affective Disorder

Seasonal Affective Disorder

For some people, symptoms of seasonal affective disorder (SAD) can feel more noticeable or harder to manage during the winter.

But small things can help:

🔵 try some physical activity – anything that gets you moving
🔵 make the most of natural light – getting outside or sitting near windows
🔵 plan for tougher days – shifting stressful tasks or building in more rest

There’s also treatment available if you’re finding things really tough – such as light therapy, talking therapies or medication.

Become a Dementia friend.

Become a Dementia friend.

Did you know children as young as 5 could become Dementia Friends?

Whatever age you are - you have the power to make a difference! Dementia Friends is about kindness, understanding, and taking small steps that matter.

When young people grow up with awareness of dementia, it helps break down fear and stigma. Having an understanding of dementia can help children and young people feel more confident and connected when spending time with loved ones who may be living with the condition.

Take a look at the pictures below to see how children responded to a recent Dementia Friends session delivered by a Dementia Friends Ambassador in a school in Bedfordshire. Look at the care the children took in thinking about and sharing their ideas for what they could do to make a difference for someone living with dementia.

CQC survey

Access to GP appointments remains a challenge, with some people finding it harder than others. This includes those living in the most deprived areas, autistic people and people with a learning disability, and people with a mental health condition.

When people can’t get help from their GP, it may mean they go to a service not designed to meet their needs, for example the GP Survey found that 1 in 15 people went to A&E.

Some people did not seek further help at all, risking a deterioration in their health.
