Disability Advice Project http://www.dapwales.org.uk. Disability Advice Project provides free welfare rights advice and advocacy for disabled people, their families and carers.

The Disability Advice Project can assist you with the completion of all forms concerned with disability benefits. We have trained caseworkers on hand ready to help. We provide help and support when claims are rejected; our trained caseworkers will advise you on the relevant steps to take if this is the case, and are available to represent you at your appeal....all completely FREE!!

⚠️ We’ve received a number of reports of our tenants being contacted via phone by someone falsely claiming to be from Bron Afon.

If you’re ever unsure whether someone is genuinely from Bron Afon, please contact us straight away.

Also remember: If any of our colleagues or our contractors visit you, they will always carry a photo ID card.

Good news for some PIP claimants.
Today alone we have had three clients receive letters confirming that their PIP awards have been extended without needing a reassessment or a new review form.
This follows the DWP's recent announcement that it is changing how often some PIP awards are reviewed, meaning some claimants will have their existing awards extended instead of being asked to complete another review.

This will not apply to everyone, as it depends on individual circumstances and the length of award you have, but it is encouraging to see these extensions already being issued, the claimants here all has 2 year awards or less.
