If fat loss is your goal
Saturday and Sunday arenโt a free for all.
Two days of bottomless brunches, takeaways and โf**k it, Iโll start again on Mondayโ isnโt balance.
Itโs undoing all that work you put in Monday-Friday.
And hoping itโll all be fine by Tuesday isnโt a strategy thatโs going to pay off.
Calling it balance doesnโt make it balance.
It makes it comfortable for you.
You might find yourself thinking this is a motivation issue.
Itโs not!โจItโs a belief issue.
Somewhere along the way you decided:
I just canโt stick to itโจIโve no energyโจI always fall off itโจIโll hang off for a better timeโจI just canโt be bothered
So now every weekend becomes proof you were right.
And this is where your fat loss starts to stall.
Youโre consistent Monday-Friday, then the weekend becomes two days of eating and drinking far beyond what your goal requires.
You get back on track Monday, repeat it again the following weekend and wonder why progress isnโt happening the way you want it to.
Saying you want change while living like nothing has to change isnโt balance.
Real balance during fat loss phases isnโt about perfection but you do need your actions to match your goal.
And that includes the weekend ๐
