๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿด Murdoโ€™s Motivational Monday ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ’œ

Thereโ€™s something about that distinct change in the season โ€” cooler mornings, darker evenings, different skies, and a feeling that everything is shifting. ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ

And sometimes, when the weather changes, our motivation can change with it.

So this week, remember: you donโ€™t have to feel motivated every single day to keep moving forward. Some days are for big steps, some are for small ones, and some are simply about showing up and doing what you can.

Embrace the change. Put on your warm coat, take a deep breath of that fresh air, and remind yourself that every season has something beautiful to offer. ๐Ÿ’œ

โœจ The seasons change โ€” and so can you. Keep growing, keep going, and trust that brighter days are always part of the journey. โœจ

Have a wonderful week, everyone! ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ‚

โ€œIf everybody looked the same, weโ€™d get tired of looking at each other.โ€ - this is the name of a song I heard on the radio the other day (points who can name the artist?!) ๐Ÿ˜....... but it got me thinking......

honestlyโ€ฆ the ponies couldnโ€™t care less what we look like!

They donโ€™t care about our hair, our clothes, our size, our age, or whether weโ€™re having a good face day.

They care about how we show up.
How we connect.
How we make them feel.

And maybe we could all take a little lesson from them. โค๏ธ

In the presence of a pony, itโ€™s not about appearances. Itโ€™s about connection, energy, kindness, trust and simply being yourself. ๐Ÿดโœจ

Maybe we could all worry a little less about how we lookโ€”and spend a little more time appreciating who we are. Because being different is what makes every one of us interesting. ๐Ÿ’•

Be yourself. Look like you. Stop worrying so much about fitting the mould.

Because different is interesting. Different is beautiful. And the world would be pretty boring if we were all the same! โœจ๐Ÿด

Happy Friday everyone! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿด

๐Ÿ’š When words arenโ€™t enough, sometimes the ponies can help us find a little space to breathe. ๐Ÿด

This morning we welcomed a lovely lady to one of our sessions who came to us while navigating grief.

Grief can feel overwhelming, messy and difficult to put into words. Sometimes you donโ€™t need to talk about everything straight away โ€” sometimes you just need a safe space, a quiet mind and something gentle to focus on.

Today, we spent some time with Murdo, beginning with mindful grooming. Slowing down, noticing his breathing, feeling the rhythm of the brush and simply being present in the moment.

We then moved on to some connection work and leading, where the focus was on communication, trust and being aware of both ourselves and the horse.

There is something incredibly grounding about being around ponies. They ask us to slow down, be present and tune into what is happening right now. They donโ€™t judge, they donโ€™t expect us to have the right words, and they certainly donโ€™t mind if weโ€™re having a difficult day. โค๏ธ

Our sessions arenโ€™t about fixing grief โ€” because grief isnโ€™t something that needs fixing. Theyโ€™re about creating a little space to breathe, reconnect and perhaps find moments of calm amongst the difficult ones.

And sometimes, thatโ€™s enough for today. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿด

If you or someone you know is going through a difficult time and feels that spending time with horses might help, please get in touch. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿด๐Ÿ’œ Introducing Little Pony Explorers at Horses4Help CIC! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿด

We are excited to introduce our new Little Pony Explorers programme โ€” a gentle, nurturing 6-week Early Years Equi-Learning Programme designed for children aged 3โ€“5 years.

Following the success of our updated, ongoing ASDAN Accredited Equi-learning courses, we thought we'd offer something specifically for younger attendees.

Building confidence, connection and emotional wellbeing through ponies and nature.

Looking for a different way to support your childโ€™s confidence, emotional development and connection with the world around them?

Our sessions provide a calm, safe and supportive environment where children can learn through non-ridden interaction with our wonderful ponies.

โœจ No riding
โœจ No pressure
โœจ No expectations
โœจ Just connection, confidence and kindness. ๐Ÿ’œ

Through carefully planned activities, children will explore:

๐Ÿด Meeting and getting to know our ponies
๐Ÿชฎ Grooming and pony care
๐Ÿด Understanding pony body language and communication
๐ŸŒฟ Nature connection and outdoor learning
๐ŸŽจ Pony-inspired creativity and crafts
๐Ÿค Building relationships and communication skills
๐ŸŒˆ Confidence-building activities
๐Ÿง˜ Mindful moments with ponies.

Our ponies help children learn some of lifeโ€™s biggest lessons:

๐Ÿ’œ How to build trust
๐Ÿ’œ How to understand emotions
๐Ÿ’œ How to respect boundaries
๐Ÿ’œ How to communicate without words
๐Ÿ’œ How to feel confident trying something new.

Little Pony Explorers is suitable for children who may benefit from additional support, including those experiencing:

๐ŸŒฑ Autism and neurodivergence
๐ŸŒฑ Anxiety or emotional regulation difficulties
๐ŸŒฑ Sensory differences
๐ŸŒฑ Social confidence challenges
๐ŸŒฑ Communication difficulties
๐ŸŒฑ A need for early intervention support.

At Horses4Help, we believe every child deserves to be understood and supported for who they are.
Just as we believe ponies should never be labelled as โ€œdifficultโ€ or โ€œnaughtyโ€, children should never be defined by their challenges. We focus on understanding the individual, building trust and celebrating small steps forward.

๐Ÿด A quiet child may find their voice.
๐Ÿด An anxious child may find confidence.
๐Ÿด A child who struggles in traditional settings may discover they can achieve.

Our experienced team creates a safe environment where children can learn at their own pace while developing skills that support future learning, relationships and wellbeing.

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿด Beyond Our Coursesโ€ฆ ๐Ÿด๐ŸŒฟ

At Horses4Help, we believe that the end of a course doesn't have to mean the end of the journey.

For some young people we work with, our 6-week Equi Learning course is just the beginning.

Once they've completed their course, they may choose to continue working with us through our Beyond Our Courses sessions โ€” creating a familiar, safe space where they can keep developing, growing and building on everything they've already achieved.

These sessions are not about starting again.

They're about going deeper.

Through time with the ponies and in the outdoors, young people can explore:

๐ŸŒฑ Confidence and self-belief
๐Ÿด Communication and boundaries
๐Ÿง  Emotional awareness and regulation
๐ŸŒฟ Mindfulness and connection with nature
๐Ÿ’ช Resilience and problem-solving
๐Ÿฆ‹ Identity, strengths and self-esteem
๐ŸŒŸ Independence and responsibility
๐ŸŽฏ Future hopes, aspirations and life skills.

The ponies become partners in the process, offering young people opportunities to communicate, make choices, overcome challenges and discover things about themselves โ€” often without even realising they're "doing therapeutic work".

Sometimes it's a planned activity.

Sometimes it's grooming a pony in silence.

Sometimes it's walking through the woods and talking.

Sometimes it's simply having somewhere to go on a difficult day.

And sometimes, the biggest achievement is just showing up. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿด

Our approach is young-person led, strengths-based and flexible. We meet each young person where they are, recognising that progress isn't always a straight line.

Because completing a course shouldn't mean that the support, relationships and confidence they've built suddenly stop.

Sometimes the most important part of the journey happens beyond the course. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿด

We are very proud of our Director Janet Fallon for her recent achievement! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.

Here's what she had to say:

"As a Director of Horses4Help, I am incredibly proud to have recently achieved my qualification in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This certification strengthens our commitment to delivering truly inclusive, person-centred support โ€” recognising that every person, regardless of their neurodivergence or needs, brings unique strengths, potential, and value.

It means we can now design even more thoughtful, adaptive equine-assisted sessions that meet individual needs, sensory preferences, and communication styles with greater confidence and expertise.

This qualification isnโ€™t just a certificate โ€” itโ€™s a promise to keep learning, growing, and making the healing, empowering connection between people and horses accessible to everyone." ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ
