Today I finally got round to opening the giant box that’s been on my sitting room floor since the middle of June! After all the excitement of the sound bath I did at the beach I bought this gazebo!

I’ve not attached the sides yet but thought some outdoor sound baths could be really lovely. It should be big enough to protect my gongs, crystal bowls and whatever else I choose to include. I just wish I’d thought of this yesterday to combine with the eclipse but hindsight is such a wonderful thing isn’t it?! 🤣🤦‍♀️

I’d love to make outdoor sound baths inclusive, community events so they will be fairly priced to hopefully welcome more people.

What an honour to be asked to host a Hen Party Soundscape today. The bride and her friends enjoyed 2 hours in The Yurt today - an hour of sound # and then another to spend extra time relaxing in the magic of the gong space and enjoy homemade chocolate brownies and herbal teas.

Private sound baths are available on request and are getting more popular. If you’re interested in a special event or even just fancy the space all to yourself or with a couple of friends please get in touch and we can discuss different options.

I bought all these pieces of fabric for The Yurt a few years ago in Kuala Lumpur. Until this weekend, they were used as chair or gong stand covers or to put instruments on but I thought they might look good on the walls. I have no idea how long they will stay up for (I may completely change my mind!) but at the moment I’m really enjoying the bright colours. I hope you like the new look Yurt! ✨🛖✨

Do you struggle to switch off after work or a day with the children? Do you feel tension or pain in your body? Maybe a yoga class at The Yurt is just what you need!

Yoga classes at The Yurt are generally Yin or YinYang in style. What does this mean? It means we work with deep, long held stretches to target the connective tissues in the body to help reduce tightness and hopefully ease pain.

Slow stretches? That sounds a bit easy to me! Don’t be tricked into thinking that a class with very little movement won’t work your body! As we target areas where tension builds from sitting at a desk, stress or exercise you will definitely feel that you have done something that benefits your body.

All classes close with soothing, grounding gongs to allow you to completely let go and leave restored and ready for a deep sleep.

Yoga classes are Monday 6.30pm (mixed) and Tuesdays 7pm (women only) Drop in, blocks and monthly memberships are available. Monthly memberships include an exclusive Yurt discount code that can be used for treatments and sound baths.

Classes resume Monday 10th August. Please message me for more information.
