Thought for Sunday: Heavy rain in the night has drenched the dry earth. Cleansing and cleaning. Warm air provides perfect growing season and the Midgies love it!

The joy of the West Coast Midge, warmth, wet and no wind. To them it’s perfect biting season, to us it’s purgatory.

I’m hoping you are smiling by now, good. So this week my challenge to us all is to lighten up, laughter is always the best medicine. Taking ourselves too seriously is a dangerous game that you won’t get out of alive.

And on that note, have a laughter filled week,

Lynds x

Thought for Sunday : At last time spent in the garden brought time in nature and connection to the Earth. I lit the firepit, drank wine, listened to bird song and cleansed away the past through the flames.

A blessed and contented day , meeting neighbours and friends at a plant sale and time spent with my daughter in harmony added to the moment.

When life becomes challenging, never forget the joy that comes from the foundations of life. Don’t look for the fancy, the big gestures. Look for the grounded, the thoughtful, the understanding, watch for those that get you at your core. They are your tribe.

Have a beautiful week,

Thought for Sunday: May is delivering, as it always tends to do. Dry days, sunshine, Bluebells in abundance and returning Swifts and Swallows fill the air.

Sometimes I think we can over complicate life. Actually all we need is to be grateful for all our blessings, our friends, live our own journey with trust and faith, live in the present and respect ourselves, others and all living things.

It’s not hard really.

Thought for Sunday: Awakening early this morning, the sound of pattering rain met me through my open window. The stretch of days of sunshine has broken and the earth receives sustenance. The rain is light and giving, almost like a sigh of relief. Calming, soothing, giving. Perhaps I should wash my face in the rain this morning, since I missed the dew at dawn on May Day!

This week has been brought together by laughter moments, a lightness filled my soul at times and eased the tension of the last weeks. Laughter is the best medicine.

It’s been just over four months since my wee stay in HDU and I feel that at last, this month, I’m coming out of the woods.

During this time, a lot of reflection and high and low moods have challenged me. In reframing my thought processes, trying to understand the challenges, I found the positive to be to look at every challenge that has been thrown at me, and ask a question- “What can this situation teach me? How can I learn and grow?” The focus became more positive, productive, and lighter. Many friends and colleagues brought light and laughter to my soul and I am profoundly grateful.

Think of the challenges you are facing as teachers. How can you adapt and grow? Take a deep breath, you’ve got this, no one said it was going to be easy but finding laughter, strength, love, setting your boundaries based on self respect, self worth and self love, can make for a more balanced life.

Have a beautiful May weekend my friends,

Lynds xx

Thought for Sunday : The sun arrived on the Shore and has promised to stay for a few days. It’s as if the go button has been pressed and everything begins to bud and grow. The world looks brighter, more inviting and sitting out watching the sunset, whilst drinking a glass of wine, is the perfect evenings entertainment.

This week brought life into clarity as out of the normal routine of things. I had to deal with restrictions that I have a system for but in and out of the normal place. A good challenge and it made me recognise the need to do that more. Being out of your comfort zone is exactly that, uncomfortable and challenging but makes you realise that you’re capable of so much more. And a recognition of those who will help get you there with their support, love and thoughtfulness. Be grateful always.

Step out of your comfort zone this week - how much more could you actually achieve if you really pushed yourself? A comfort zone can feel protective but you’re not growing or changing by staying in it.

Live life in full bloom and give the sun a run for its money with the amount of light you share.

Thought for Sunday: I woke early, around 4 am. The night was silent still calm I could hear the waves gently lapping by the pier through my open window. Bliss, perfect.

Silence can be so cathartic amongst the busy noise of life. Calming, uplifting, soothing.

It’s been a busy week but still Phone time to meet with lovely friends laughing and sharing and listening. Today brings more promises of sharing breakfast with friends and a lovely invitation for Sunday lunch with others I am truly blessed.

Special week with therapy clients seeing breakthroughs on their journey facing their shadows and seeing the light once again, bringing colour, joy and happiness back to themselves . I felt so humblle and grateful to be able to share in special moments.

May your week be filled with light and Hope
