Dunoon on the Move Dunoon on the Move aims to make cycling, walking and wheeling accessible, fun and sociable. Developed by Dunoon Community Development Trust & funded by HITRANS.

Dunoon on the move continues the excellent work of Dunoon Bothy project supporting people to make more everyday journeys by walking, cycling or wheeling. Our Secret Bothy Hike on Saturday saw 19 of us head up the hills behind Pucks Glen to see the Bothy and take in the stunning scenery! We were so lucky with the weather as it didnt start raining until we were nearly back at Benmore. A big thank you to all the volunteers, from both Cowalfest 2026 and Dunoon on the Move. It was fab to see new faces as well 🥰
The walk was an extra bit special as we had Iain and Samuel with us, Iain's grandad built the Bothy and this was Sam's first visit to his great grandfathers creation.

Last week saw Arleen and Charlie the Crocodile from Childsmile, Oral Health Improvement Argyll and Bute chat to us about brushing teeth and nutrition. A lot of the advice has changed, for instance you shouldn't rinse your mouth after cleaning teeth and you shouldn't use mouthwash after either as it dilutes the fluoride in your toothpaste.🦷🪥
The team is always happy to chat. Did you know you can buy supplies at a very reasonable price from the hospital? This includes low foaming, mild tasting toothpaste for youngsters who don't like foaming and/or stronger minty tastes!
