OK seeing as this has been the most popular story I’ve ever done I’ll bring it to the squares! Yesterday came to yurt to sing together. We had no plan, no songs chosen and haven’t sung together before. We played around with some songs and went into them not knowing what harmonies we’d do, we just let it take shape. And wow- singing in this way felt so freeing and fluid and joyful!! 🥹 my tears flowed as I acknowledged a fear around ‘harmonies’ for fear of being told off, not being good enough and all that jazz!! What can I say apart from get yourself in the room with people that light you up, fill your cup and meet you with compassion. and I are singing together At Edlesborough village carnival at 3:50-4:20 on 4th July and also we will be bringing music to the yurt VERY soon watch this space so you can come sing with us 🥰🥰🥰🌞🌞🌞🔥🔥🔥✨✨✨

What it means to me to be a trauma informed therapist.
I make no assumptions about my clients, I am not there to diagnose or ‘fix’ my clients. The only expert on the client in the room is the client themselves. I work with the nervous system and sub conscious at its core. Creating safe spaces to hold the client in their processing and to let go of any protective behaviours. For me being trauma informed means I am aware of my own trauma script, allowing me to separate what’s mine and what’s my clients. My own awareness and self care is vital be in through my supervision, personal therapy and somatic practices.
