Friday night, was TAB night πŸ’₯ πŸͺ–

TAB, or Tactical Advance to Battle, is a fantastic full body and cardio workout. πŸ’ͺ

A fast march, weighted bergen, and lots of rain was a perfect end to the working week πŸ‘Œ πŸ’―

Important points in completing a TAB :

πŸ’₯Find your rhythm and maintain it
πŸ’₯a consistent speed , to start approx 14 minute miles and gradually speeding up as you get more experienced.
πŸ’₯regulate your breathing and breathe deep!
πŸ’₯build your weight up on each TAB. Start fairly light and build on it.

They now complete x2 full body strength and conditioning sessions
And

Preparation for powerlifting meet:

πŸ’ͺ Focus on good form and depth ie : Ensuring squat is below parallel.

πŸ’ͺ Train with what you plan to wear and any equipment such as a lifting belt.

πŸ’ͺ As competition is coming up, focus less on high reps, practicing heavier singles.

πŸ’ͺ Practice training with commands! So you don't see that dreaded red light ♦️

πŸ’ͺchoose realistic opening attempts.

πŸ’ͺDon't cut too much weight and ensure you are well hydrated and have snacks ect in the day to maintain energy.

πŸ’ͺon approach, in your last week, reduce weight but remain frequent in training with lighter loads focusing on technique.

Mental Health First Aid training was highly engaging, practical, and extremely relevant to the workplace. It provided clear, accessible guidance on recognising signs of mental ill health, starting supportive conversations with confidence, and signposting individuals to appropriate help. Nikki & Dave created an open and respectful environment which encouraged discussion and reflection, making the content both impactful and memorable.
