💛 Slimming World Member Spotlight ❤️
Sometimes it only takes one photo to make you decide it's time for a change.
After successfully losing 3 stone with another weight loss company, I met Andy and we were enjoying that exciting new relationship stage. We were eating out all the time and, before I knew it, I'd regained 2 stone.
I felt sluggish, my clothes were getting too tight and then I saw a photograph of myself that I really didn't like. Around the same time, a Slimming World leaflet dropped through my door in January and I thought, "Why not give it a try?"
🎉 So far I've lost 1 stone 7lbs.
One of my biggest challenges has been losing those final few pounds to reach target and then learning how to stay there. But the journey has been about so much more than the number on the scales.
One of my proudest achievements has been learning to cook properly. Before Slimming World I relied on jars of sauce, but now I cook everything from scratch and my kitchen is full of herbs and spices. I've discovered that healthy food can be absolutely delicious.
Another amazing change is that I've taken up running. I can now comfortably run 5 miles a couple of times a week—something I never imagined I'd be able to do!
🍽️ My favourite Slimming World meal is Chicken & Leek Risotto from one of the Take 5 cookbooks.
Today I feel healthier, fitter and have so much more energy than when I started. I actually look forward to getting up and going for a run, which is something I never thought I'd say!
If you're thinking about joining Slimming World, I'd say go for it. Walking through the door is the hardest part, but you'll be welcomed with no judgement. Everyone is there for the same reason and you'll always find support, encouragement and friendship.
The biggest thing that has helped me has been coming to class every single week and staying for Image Therapy. I've made wonderful friends who I didn't know before joining Slimming World, and they've been there to encourage and support me every step of the way.
❤️ My top tip? Don't just weigh and run. Stay to group, listen, share, learn from other members and accept their support. It has made all the difference to my journey. 💛

How AMAZING IS SHE??

💛 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT 💛
When she rejoined Slimming World, she already knew the plan worked. Having previously lost between 2 and 3 stone on two separate occasions, she knew Food Optimising could help her achieve her goals.
After Covid, however, things had changed. Comfort eating, a little too much wine after a long day, and becoming less active had all taken their toll. She found herself at her heaviest weight and struggling with everyday activities.
"I knew I had to do something. My weight was affecting my ability to even walk comfortably."
Unlike previous journeys, she didn't set a weight loss target. Her goal was simple – to feel better, improve her health and regain control.
Fast forward to today and she has lost an incredible 🎉 7 stone 12lb 🎉 and is now less than a stone away from her target weight.
One of her biggest challenges has been learning not to let disappointing weeks derail her progress.
"My body has a mind of its own right now and doesn't always do what I expect, even when I've followed the plan. I've had to learn that this is part of my journey. Instead of getting frustrated, I remind myself how far I've come and that I can do it as long as I don't give up."
Her biggest achievement isn't just the weight she's lost – it's the perseverance she's gained.
In the past, she stopped attending group when she got close to target because she thought she knew what to do. This time is different.
"I've realised that staying connected to group helps keep those old habits from creeping back. When I reach target this time, I plan to stay there."
The changes in everyday life have been incredible too.
Walking, something she once dreaded because of breathlessness and discomfort, is now part of her daily routine.
"Now I deliberately park further away, walk during my lunch breaks and aim for at least 10,000 steps a day. It clears my head, gets me away from my desk and gives me a real sense of achievement."
Her favourite Slimming World treats include the Iceland Chicken Vindaloo with Slimming World Garlic & Coriander Naan and rice. And as for her favourite recipe? Diet Coke Chicken!
"I never fancied it until I won all the ingredients in a class raffle. I happened to have chicken planned for dinner that night, gave it a try and I've been hooked ever since!"
When asked how she feels now compared to when she started, her answer was simple:
❤️ "Energetic, healthier and fantastic!" ❤️
Her advice to anyone thinking about joining?
"Slimming World has something for everyone. Everybody's journey is different and you can make it work for your own tastes and lifestyle. If it's not for you, at least you've given it a go."
And finally, who has helped her most?
"There are so many people – my encouraging husband and everyone in group. They share your highs and lows, give you ideas, support, laughs and sometimes even tears. That's what makes group so special."
What an amazing achievement so far. Less than a stone to target and proving every week that consistency, determination and support really do pay off. 💛

When he joined Slimming World, it wasn't about reaching a certain target weight or fitting into a particular clothes size.
It was about his health.
Fast forward to today, and he has achieved something truly incredible...

🎉 8½ Stone Lost! 🎉
But the scales don't tell the whole story.
One of his proudest achievements has been saying goodbye to diabetes – a life-changing health victory that has transformed his future.

Not only that, but he now enjoys going out walking with his Rambling Club, something that has become a huge part of his healthier, happier lifestyle.
His favourite Slimming World meal? A delicious fakeaway KFC-style chicken 🍗 proving that you don't have to give up your favourite foods to lose weight and improve your health.
When asked how he feels now compared to when he started, his answer was simple:
❤️ "I feel like a new man." ❤️

His biggest challenge is maintaining his weight loss, but with the support of Slimming World Consultants and fellow members, he continues to succeed.
His advice to anyone thinking about joining?

⭐ "Come to group – it will be the best thing you will ever do in your lifetime." ⭐
