Caz and I were accredited at the begining of this month and I know she's had her say on how the day went but this is the human experience and it varies a little.
The drive was around 4 hours to get the the centre from where we live, PoTS and sitting still for 4 hours, not the best of starts. The leg pain was somewhat horrific. GOOD START.
Now Caz knows everything so she can be trusted to let me know when I'm particularly potsie and need very much to lay down quickly, I on the other hand get some of the PoTS symptoms and start to panic a faint is imminent, this is 12years in the making of not being able to trust my body and sometimes I forget that my little lifesaver has absolutely got this down.
I don't remember much of the actual accreditation process, just that there was a lovely lady, a park, a café some shops and some hills! I do remember sharing Caz' settle mat when she alerted in the café though!
We got back to the MDD centre and I was issued with some new bandanas, a new collar and lead and they told us we passed! Official team!
Next thing I know I'm on the floor coming round and Caz is licking my face pawing at my chest to wake up. Apparently I was extraordinarily dramatic and fainted upon hearing the news! 🤣 It's ok you can laugh, sometimes it's ridiculously theatrical lol.
6 months we've been together and with my birthday coming up on Tuesday I actually have plans! I'm going outside! I'm doing a staycation! None of this would be possible without Caz and
They saved my life and I am excited beyond belief about the possibilities I now have!
