Your ADHD isn't a static, never-changing thing. If you've got a menstrual cycle, you know that some weeks are more challenging than others - and we ALL know that when we're under pressure at work, we're more likely to forget things, zone out or get reactive.

Here's the missing ingredient from a lot of 'solutions' - your BS.

Not 💩, no.

Your Belief System. (I bet you remember that now, right?)

How we think about ourselves, the world, our brains, those beliefs have a REAL impact on how your ADHD shows up.
Our brains aren't separate from our thoughts or our bodies - how we feel in our bodies, as well as our minds(thoughts are affected by our brain and VICE VERSA.

Does that mean you can 'think yourself out of ADHD'? no. But how we THINK about ADHD and our belief about what's possible will make a difference in how we approach our day to day life AND our ability to change.

Want to know more? Make sure you're following because my new podcast episode is going to do into this DEEP (with receipts).

Are you bored of your new year, new you yet? Step right up to join the 'I don't have to hurt to do things different club'. 😂 Seriously - so many of us STILL trapped thinking that the darkest, coldest part of the year (in the northern hemisphere) is the right time to overhaul our routines?
This year I'm REJECTING the 'I have to hate it or it won't work' vibe, along with 'I need you to take me seriously' one.

What are you rejecting this year? LMK in the comments 💬

Finishing 2025 STRONG - Two professional milestones in one year ✨

I've just achieved my PCAC (Professional Certified ADHD Coach) from PAAC (the Professional Association for ADHD Coaches). Unlike the ACO, which doesn't test members on their knowledge or coaching skills, PAAC is a unique organisation dedicated to improving the standard of and supporting ADHD coaches. At the moment, there are only 4 certified PCAC coaches in the UK, so I'm feeling pretty pleased.

Combined with my ICF PCC (Professional Certified Coach) qualification earlier this year, it's been quite a journey.

Why did I even start ADHD coaching? Eleven years ago I was diagnosed and discovered how little practical help existed. OT wasn't for me at the time (I tried). I needed something that worked WITH my brain and my complicated life.

The PCAC means coaching through an ADHD lens: understanding executive function, time blindness, emotional regulation, and all the ways this shows up differently for each person.

If you've been asking yourself "So, why AM I like this?" I'm booking ADHD Reviews for January. You can find the details from my profile.

ASDHF is real and no, adding “more time” or “not giving me a label” didn’t make it go away. Stick that in your pipe random journalist/politician person 🧡.

If you’re struggling to follow through with plans, check which one of these has been sneaking up on you - space, over committing or burnout?
Drop a 🧡 if you’re one of the “but why does this keep happening” gang 💐

ADHD means we have to adjust ideas about what “success” looks like - we might need more “scaffolding” in daily life to remember things our peers take for granted.

Does that mean we are less successful? No!

If anything, I would argue that our achievements are hard won and we need to celebrate them more.

Drop a 🧡if you agree - and I’d love it if you could tell me something that YOU are proud of having done recently?

There’s nothing essentially wrong with Atomic Habits - genuinely.
However it’s not as ADHD friendly as it would appear. My main problem is the assumption that consistency is a foundation.

We all know that we would LOVE to be consistent but for many reasons that’s not always possible.

My personal review is on this week’s blog post now. Head to the profile for usual L🫟

These are broad, general reasons but they’re true for SO many people.

1. No, “to do lists” are not universally helpful. I explain why in my latest blog post and YouTube video.

Using the wrong tools to think can make life way harder.

2. Sure, when we understand ADHD symptoms it can normalise and reduce the stigma we’ve probably felt for a long time. That on its own isn’t usually enough to change HOW we are living. For that, we need to change our external structure and supports.

3. Your inner story - the words you hear or get from your inner judge/critic/persecutor can be helpful* when we reframe our take on what it’s saying.

Instead, focus on the 3 S’s - structure, scaffolding, story.

Check out the video or blog post for the details.

*this is NOT advice I’d give to anyone dealing with trauma PTSD etc. please see a qualified mental health professional.

I don't share a lot of client feedback online - and I don't focus on the flashy business based 'wins' when I do. Not because they don't happen but honestly, I would take THIS feedback over 'Tripled my ROI' any day.

'I feel lighter and braver than ever'... wow.

If you're more interested in changing your life than ticking boxes, let me know - let's talk.

Should is a red flag. Pay attention when you use it because you'll find a whole can of nasty wiggly worms under there.
It's never 'just' ADHD when I work with clients - because guess what, you're so much more than a collection of 'traits'.
