Whenever I’m tattooing over scarring, I ask “is the goal to cover, or something else?”
Coverups are one thing, but I try never to assume what a client needs - you gotta ask! My job is to get your tattoo to serve whatever purpose you want as best I can. I’ve worked with scars almost as long as I’ve been tattooing, which is almost as long as I’ve been tattooing Beth.
I have always valued just how much this service offers folk in terms of reclamation, self esteem and empowerment. Pretty cool part of the job. Thank you for letting me do this ✨
