Alongside the medical aspects of fertility care, there can also be many emotions, decisions and uncertainties to navigate.

Counselling & Nutritional Therapist Jocelyn Proctor supports patients by creating space for conversations, helping them explore their options and providing support through the challenges and decisions that can come with their journey.

At Genus Medical Fertility, we believe looking after patients means understanding the whole person, not just the treatment pathway.

Freezing your eggs is a way to preserve future reproductive options by collecting and freezing them for potential use later in life.

Some people choose egg freezing by choice because they are not yet ready to start a family, while others may need fertility preservation before medical treatment or surgery that could affect ovarian function and reserve.

At Genus Fertility, we take the time to discuss your individual circumstances, explain what the process involves, and help you make a fully informed decision - without pressure, and at your own pace.

Did you know? Endometriosis affects around 1 in 10 women of reproductive age.

While many women with endometriosis conceive naturally, it is also one of the most common conditions associated with fertility challenges.

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows outside the uterus, most commonly affecting the ovaries, fallopian tubes, pelvic lining and surrounding organs.

For some people, endometriosis can affect fertility by:
• Distortion of pelvic anatomy due to scar tissue and adhesions
• Damage to the fallopian tubes, affecting egg and s***m transport
• Endometriosis cysts (endometriomas) affecting ovarian function
• Reduced ovarian reserve in some women
• Chronic inflammation within the pelvis
• Altered egg, s***m and embryo function

Symptoms can vary from person to person, but may include painful periods, chronic pelvic pain, pain during sexual in*******se, bloating and gastrointestinal symptoms.

At Genus Fertility, we have extensive experience in the management of endometriosis-related infertility. Visit genusfertility.co.uk to find out more and make an enquiry.

You may have heard of AMH testing, but what does it actually tell you?

Anti-MĂĽllerian Hormone (AMH) levels in the blood are a marker of ovarian reserve. An AMH test can also help predict your response to fertility treatment.

At Genus Medical Fertility, we check AMH through a simple blood test as part of our specialist fertility investigations, helping to provide a clearer understanding of your fertility health at that time and inform the next steps in your care.

Fertility is different for everyone, which is why we take a personalised approach to understanding your individual circumstances and goals.

Find out more about AMH testing and our fertility investigations at genusfertility.co.uk.
