Leila For her Issue 25 cover, Leila opens up about growing alongside her characters without reducing them to stereotypes, finding depth in teenage emotions and characters like her Heartstopper character Sahar, and bringing Jess to life in Adultery. She speaks candidly about the realities of living with characters long after “cut” has been called, learning personal boundaries between actor and character and why the roles that challenge us ultimately shape us.

Such an honour to photograph a woman who’s working towards:

1. Putting financial education in schools (all schools & every year)
2. Teaching those who weren’t taught at school how to be financially literate.
3. Standing up when things aren’t working. We should not still have a gender pay gap, a system that doesn’t support growth (& a few other things ;) )
