With the next Clinic date approaching on Friday and following International Women’s Day, Dr Chandler is taking time to champion women. 'This day gave us an opportunity to reflect on what it is to be a woman and our role in the world. In my clinic, I see many women who have lost a sense of self, clarity, confidence and sensuality. They simply don’t feel like the woman they once were. The chaos of hormonal change, in the perimenopause and early menopause, can feel overwhelming, but that amazing woman is still in there, it just may take some help to find her again. There is much you can do with hormones and a change in lifestyle and mindset to help you flourish during this time.
The community and strength of women is vital. We are seeing and hearing this community loud and clear when it comes to discussion and the recognition of the impact of menopause on women’s lives. I am proud to help women and to empower them to regain the vitality and joy of being a woman.'

Tomorrow is Time to Talk Day. It’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives. It is run by Mind, Rethink Mental Illness and delivered in partnership with Co-op. The more conversations we have, the better life is for everyone. It would be great if we all took the Time to Talk on Time to Talk Day 2024.

A few Menopause facts coming your way, food for thought.
Why is it suggested that some women need testosterone?
Interestingly, women produce more testosterone than oestrogen, which starts to decline after the early 30s. If symptoms such as tiredness, lack of libido, reduction in strength and muscle bulk, and brain fog persist after oestrogen replacement, testosterone may well be the missing piece of the puzzle. Let's talk Circadian Rhythm. So the clocks have changed and this may disrupt the body's natural sleep cycles, which can in turn affect both physical and mental health. When the clocks go back in the Autumn, we get an extra hour of daylight in the morning but this is short lived, as sunrise get later and later. So, on a day like today, exposure to sunlight is key. There have been studies to suggest that lack of sunlight may stop the hypothalamus from working properly, which may affect the production of melatonin (a sleep hormone) and serotonin (a mood hormone), as well as the body's Circadian Rhythm. If you see the sun, make the most of it and get out and about in nature. Take care of yourselves and make the most of every day.

NHS England advises all of us the take vitamin D from October till March.

🍂🌞 October has arrived and we're officially in the season of reduced sunlight hours, which means it's time to consider supplementing with vitamin D. As beautiful as the autumn days are, this does result in fewer chances to support our vitamin D levels from natural sunlight.

This is where a vitamin D supplement comes in! Historically seen as a vitamin to support bone health, vitamin D’s essential role in supporting immunity is now well-known.

Our range covers all bases:

1️⃣ Wholefood Vitamin D3 from a vegan source, suitable for adults and teens
2️⃣ Vitamin D3 Drops, which are perfect for children and the elderly
3️⃣ Junior Vitamin D3 comes in tiny tablets for kids
4️⃣ Vitamin D3 + K2, a unique, high potency vitamin D3 and K2 formula (we need D3 and K2 in adequate amounts to ensure optimum biological activity of both vitamins)

Get ready for autumn and winter today! 🍂🌞

Good morning all, on this beautiful autumn day, I thought I would share my morning routine. Having slapped on my Estrogel and testosterone gel I headed off for strength and cardio training at The Training Yard The Training Yard with the amazing Daisy
I then made a quick and easy breakfast of chia seeds, flaxseeds and protein powder in kefir topped with apple, almond butter and seeds (fibre, pre and probiotics, omega 3, protein, antioxidants, calcium, magnesium) . After this breakfast (which you can make in advance and take to work!) I took the dogs for a walk to bathe in nature and get some much needed Vitamin D . Does your morning routine boost your mental and physical health? .

Have you visited our Menopause Clinic yet? 🤔

As it's Menopause Day, we thought we'd shine a light on our private monthly service hosted by Dr. Charlotte Chandler, who helps women address the symptoms they're experiencing. From hot flushes and insomnia to muscle aches and changes in hair and skin, Dr Charlotte will thoroughly assess your situation, help you to manage symptoms and recommend appropriate treatments.

As well as in-person consultations, we also have a small selection of products to help you tackle the cosmetic effects of menopause. Their serum aims to rejuvenate skin and reduce the appearance of ageing, while the night cream has restorative qualities and provides intense hydration.

Our next consultation date is on 3rd November, so be sure to book your appointment! ✨
