📢 EXETER WALKING FESTIVAL 📢
As part of the Walking Festival taking place from 12th to 20th Sep and offering a wide variety of walks for all skill levels and interests, we have organised another free guided history walk in Exwick.

'Mills & Orchards' will be led by the Exwick Local History group who will be exploring Exwick’s agricultural and industrial heritage.

We will walk through Exwick Mill Field to discuss the agricultural history of the area and the importance of Mallet’s flour mill. We will look at part of the Flow Orchard of newly planted fruit and nut trees. The walk will go into the heart of the village, past old farms to the pub, post office, church and school. We will talk about significant residents who had an impact on village life. Going up Exwick Hill we will learn about activities in the Square connected to the Woollen Mill and factory.

We finish by the parish hall for hot drinks and cake after.☕🍰

Free tickets will be available to book on Eventbrite from Friday 28th August. Limited spaces, please book in advance!

📣IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT📣
Due to the funding for the Walking Tennis sessions having now finished, the final coached session with Sabrina will be taking place on Sun 16th August. After this there will be a 5-week break before sessions will relaunch again on Sun 27th Sep at the new time of 12-1pm.

Thanks so much to everyone who keeps turning up every week! It's exciting to see this group grow and develop, with the sessions now starting a new chapter with one of your own becoming an LTA-trained facilitator from September.

Special thanks to Sabrina who has done a brilliant job coaching the group for the past 9 months and to the Exwick Tennis Club who are continuing to host these free weekly Walking Tennis sessions!
🙏🎾
