Last Friday, the PHL Group team headed to Portsmouth for a Charity Horse Race Night, raising money for Mind, our corporate charity of 2026.

The evening was a lot of fun, from the races themselves to the raffle, and together we raised over £1,000 for Mind, a fantastic charity doing vital work to support people experiencing mental health problems.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement, which recognises the support we provide to our Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists and their families.

Reaching Gold means so much for PHL Group. It shows our commitment to making sure veterans are seen, heard and supported, not just when they join us, but throughout their whole career with our business. We're honoured to be named a Top Corporate Fundraiser for 2026 by The Great Tommy Sleep Out!

A huge thank you to the team at The Great Tommy Sleep Out for this recognition, and for the beautiful statue marking our fundraising efforts. It has pride of place in our office and serves as a daily reminder of why we do what we do.

This achievement reflects everything PHL Group stands for. Our people put Team First, coming together to support a cause bigger than any one of us. We Truly Care, and that shows in the energy and generosity our colleagues bring to fundraising. Wednesday 8th July is International Paramedics Day, and we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the wonderful paramedics who are part of our multidisciplinary teams here at PHL Group!

From our Urgent Treatment Centres to our Integrated Urgent Care services, our paramedics work hand in hand with colleagues across a range of healthcare disciplines to provide the very best care for patients and communities. We are so proud of every one of you.

Ten Years of Women in Business — Female Leadership

This week, our Chief People Officer, Katie Stephens, had the privilege of attending the 10th Women in Business Event at Paulton's Park, an event which brought together inspiring female leaders.

Katie joined a panel discussion alongside leaders from NatWest and Merlin Entertainments, exploring the topic of "Overcoming Challenges: Female Leaders and Building Future-Fit Teams."

At PHL Group, our values of Truly Caring and Pioneering Innovation aren't just words. They show up in the conversations we have, the spaces we create, and the leaders we champion. Seeing Katie represent those values on a stage like this made us incredibly proud.

This week is Armed Forces Week and at PHL Group, we are proud to stand alongside the entire Armed Forces community, serving personnel, reservists, veterans, cadets and their families.

At PHL Group, our core values of Team First, Truly Care and Pioneering Innovation are values we see reflected every single day in the men and women who serve our country. They put team above self, they show immense courage and compassion, and they constantly adapt and innovate in some of the most challenging environments imaginable.

Armed Forces Day falls on Saturday 27th June, with this year's national event hosted in Aldershot. Whether you attend a local event, fly the flag or simply take a moment to say thank you to someone who has served, every gesture counts.

To everyone in the Armed Forces community: thank you. Your service, sacrifice and dedication do not go unnoticed.

We're delighted to have extended our contract for South Tyneside and Sunderland Urgent Treatment Centre. Alongside this, we will also be extending our service to also provide the visiting service in the South Tyneside region.

Have your say on urgent care services in Hampshire & the Isle of Wight (HIOW).

HIOW ICB is gathering feedback on Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) services as part of a review ahead of contract renewal in 2028. No immediate changes are planned, this is about understanding what's working and what could be improved.

They are particularly keen to hear from people whose voices are not always captured in surveys. If you have links with community groups or individuals who may be considered seldom heard, for example older people, carers, people with disabilities, minority ethnic communities, LGBTQ+ or those who may face barriers accessing services, they would really appreciate your help in sharing the survey with them as well.
