Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are childfree days for me to get every single one of your orders out. Bath melts are entirely made to order hence our longer dispatch time during the busy period 📮☃

Time to be open and honest! I'm struggling big time 😩

Charlie is all about Mummy and has been for a few months, and whilst I am soaking in the cuddles it has made running a business at home near impossible. I've been working all-nighters to keep up as well as relying heavily on family - I'm sleep deprived and Sam and I are exhausted!

When I started Botanic & Blush Charlie was a baby napping 3 times a day whilst also sleeping through the night - I had so much time and could create a little play area in my work room which he'd happily play in for hours on end! Which meant I could pretty much focus on Botanic & Blush all day everyday alongside being a Mum.

Fast forward over a year I have a teething toddler that needs his Mum every second of the day, including evenings at the moment as he just cannot sleep without me! If I pop upstairs to sort something he is crying at the stairgate for me, and making soap and bath melts with Charlie present is an accident waiting to happen - hot oils and toddlers do not mix! My brain is full which means I'm forgetting to message people back or mark orders as dispatched which (as a perfectionist) makes me feel like I'm failing.

Charlie isn't talking so in a few weeks we start the process of meeting with professionals regarding speech development.

I want to be present and enjoy this time with Charlie without the ongoing tension of panicking about when on earth I am going to get orders out! The stress has begun causing me some breathing difficulties which I know are entirely panic and stress related.

I have made the decision to close Botanic & Blush from 1st December until possibly next summer to focus on family, make a real dent in our house renovations and plan how to take the business forward. It may well be that I reduce our product range until Charlie is 3 and is able to access funded childcare.

PLEASE rest assured that all commitments already made to create favours for weddings and occasions in 2022 will of course still go ahead 😊

Thankyou SO much for your ongoing support and love for Botanic & Blush and following our journey 🥰 This is my passion and we will be back bigger and better in the near future 💪

We have had a VERY busy week of kitchen renovations - new window finally in and we have purchased a kitchen on Facebook Marketplace that we haven't actually viewed in person ahhh! Are we crazy?? 🤣 x

ORANGE & CINNAMON

Introducing the final soap within our festive collection - of course we had to bring back last Christmas' bestseller! 🎅

SCOTS PINE & CEDARWOOD

Now I have to be honest - there is nothing I hate more than the overly fragranced/chemical smelling scent of pine that's added to cleaning products and really gets up your nose! 🙈

The TRUE smell of pine is nothing like that - it's light, crisp, earthy and forest fresh - just beautiful!

Scots pine oil is harvested through steam distilling the needles of 'pinus sylvestris' - a tall coniferous tree 🌲

Scots pine oil has been used for centuries to cleanse and purify skin, and is renowned for it's natural anti-inflammatory benefits - skin inflammation is one of the biggest accelerators to ageing 💚

We've added cedarwood to create an extra element of woody richness that we think you'll love 🤗 x

FRANKINCENSE & MYRRH

I'll let you into a secret 🤫 Our original design for this soap was for it to be crimson through the use of red clay however nature ALWAYS knows best 🙌 The rich tones of the Myrrh oil turned it this beautiful caramel colour which we couldn't be happier with!

Frankincense & Myrrh are both resins derived from the sap of trees and together boast a warm and earthy aroma, with citrus and spicy undertones. We've elaborated on these citrus undertones by introducing sweet orange and lemon oils to provide a beautiful and festive freshness 🍊🍋

Each bar is finished hand with a whole star anise 🤎

Ahh so happy that you're all as excited as I am for our Christmas collection! This year we have curated FOUR limited edition products alongside a range of new gift sets 🤗😘

We are aiming to release our full Christmas collection within the next couple of weeks so watch this space! 🥂

We have also recently extended our dispatch time up to 5 working days HOWEVER we will be upgrading every parcel to Royal Mail First Class free of charge to try to beat any delays caused by the festive build up! 🤍x
