Happy 2 Help has sponsored our new home kits and winter jackets for the boys this season. 💙💛

The new home kit looks fantastic, and the winter jackets are going to be absolutely invaluable when those cold and wet football mornings arrive! 😂🥶⚽️

As a small token of our appreciation, we presented Tanya with a personalised slate plaque from the club last night.

Stroke Folk Filey is a friendly support group for anyone who has had a stroke or is caring for someone who has.

Join them for a relaxed afternoon with tea, conversation, activities and support in a welcoming environment.

They meet every Thursday from 12.3 pm to 2.30pm at the Filey Evron Centre, Room 21 “Coble”.

Assistant Manager – Care Services
Location: Filey, Scarborough and surrounding areas
Must be able to drive for this role
Contract: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per year, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hrs/week, including some evenings/weekends on rota
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, compassionate Assistant Manager to work alongside our current Manager, Team Leaders, and Care Support Workers. You’ll help lead day-to-day operations, ensure CQC standards are met, and support our team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Registered Manager with daily running of the service
• Line manage Team Leaders and Care Support Workers; run supervisions & appraisals
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and rota management
• Lead by example on shifts and provide hands-on support when needed
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety
• Handle family liaison, complaints, and multi-agency communication
• Deputise for the Manager during absences and contribute to audits & quality checks
What We’re Looking For
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care minimum; Level 5 preferred or working towards
• At least 2 years’ supervisory experience in a care setting
• Strong knowledge of CQC KLOEs and regulatory requirements
• Confident in leading teams, problem-solving, and making decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and IT skills for care planning systems
• Enhanced DBS required – we can process this for you
