Ted is only 14 and has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy after experiencing sudden seizures, including tonic-clonic seizures during the night. His family are raising money for specialist monitoring equipment so they can be alerted if he has a seizure while sleeping.

Does laser work on facial hair? 🤍

Laser works best on:
✨ Dark
✨ Coarse
✨ Thicker hairs

This is because the laser targets pigment in the hair follicle.
Very light, fine or fluffy hairs don’t contain enough pigment for the laser to effectively target.

Treating very fine facial hair is not always suitable and in some cases can stimulate growth (known as paradoxical growth), which is why a proper consultation and assessment is so important before starting.

For suitable hair types, facial laser can help with:
✨ Ingrown hairs
✨ Shadow & stubble
✨ Skin irritation from shaving or waxing
✨ Slower, softer regrowth over time

So many clients quietly ask me about these areas and feel embarrassed, but honestly… you shouldn’t be.
They’re some of the MOST common add-ons I treat.

Little hairs on toes and hands can still cause:

✨ Why do hairs “pop out” after laser? ✨

You might sometimes see little hairs pop out straight after treatment — and yes… it’s very satisfying to watch 👀

But what’s actually happening?

When the laser targets the hair follicle, heat builds up inside the follicle. This creates steam and pressure, which can cause the hair to be ejected from the skin.

It’s a sign the follicle has absorbed the energy 🔥

Because laser works using heat, we always protect the skin properly. I can cool the area (ice / cooling methods) to keep you comfortable and safe while still being able to reach effective energy levels (joules) for a successful treatment.
