What might be my new favourite thing! 🤩
Qigong (pronounced chee-gung) is a gentle moving meditation, a beautiful blend of slow, flowing movements, calm breathing, and a little bit of mindfulness, all rolled into one.
It’s basically the body’s way of saying “slow down, breathe, and reset.”
Unlike a high-intensity workout, Qigong isn’t about pushing yourself to the limit. It’s about tuning in to your body and moving with intention, breathing with purpose, and giving your nervous system a proper chance to unwind.
I learned this morning it…
✅ Helps reduce stress and anxiety
✅ Boosts your energy levels
(without caffeine! ☕)
✅ Improves balance, posture, and flexibility
✅ Supports better sleep
✅ Can help ease aches, tension, and
fatigue
The best part? Anyone can do it.
Today there was a real mix of ages, shapes and sizes.
You don’t need to be fit, flexible, or coordinated. You don’t need special equipment. You can even do some of it sitting down!
It’s the kind of movement that feels less like exercise and more like a gift to yourself, I’m really pleased I went along and look forward to my next fix!
Have any of you tried Qigong before? I’d love to hear your experience! 👇🏻
